Wet .....

8th December 2025 (Monday)     08.45 .... Although raining just now, the Fife Weather Cams are

showing a clearing sky ;  do the rain should stop soon to give us 'sunny spells'.    I'm disappointed with the rain, because when I went to bed last night the rain had stopped.   Obviously that was just a temporary 'blip'.    Anyway it's raining just now, but not as heavy as it was yesterday evening.    I'll go up to the paper shop once the sun gets going.

12.30     We have lovely sunny day now... and there's a drying breeze that will mop up the puddles after last night's rain.

I've been to the 'paper shop', bought stamps, and remembered the paper.    I then went to the car to wait for the Post Office van coming.    The 'plan' was to take a few photies while:  it was when taking the first one that I discovered that the camera card was still attached to the laptop.    I had loads o' time so went back home and got the card:  then back to Elie and got the few photographs I wanted.

Lexie was waiting for the PO van too, so I caught up with all the Elie.     The PO van arrived on time:  by then I'd got all the Elie 'news'.   My word it all happens in Elie.

19.15    I was calmly having lunch when the weather forecast came on the tele:  tomorrow's forecast, through to early Wednesday, is interesting.    It's to be windy and wet, in fact the weather system  has been named  "Storm Bram" by the Irish Met Office.   The name comes from Bram Stoker the author of Dracula;  who came from Dublin.

I did some thinking and reached the conclusion that I wouldn't be going anywhere tomorrow.   I ate some more, and thought some more;  and decided that, because i wouldn't be going anywhere tomorrow, perhaps I should go to 'The Store' this afternoon.   So that is what I did.    It was a nice afternoon for a run in the car.

'The Store' was fairly busy but the only person I knew was Catriona at the check out.   Her Mum, Marion, worked at the Craw's.

For a slight change of scene I came home by the Kellie Castle road.    There was a lot of water lying in

the fields, and running over the road in places.   Heavy rain, is forecast for tomorrow, so there will be more water running off the fields.    There's a Yellow warning for wind and rain for our bit of Bonnie Scotland.

The best of tomorrow's weather should be in the afternoon;  it's to be wet in the morning.   The worst of the wind will be from mid- afternoon tomorrow through to Wednesday morning.
