Nice morrrrrrrrrrrrrning .....

16th December 2025 (Tuesday)     09.30 ..... My word;  it's easy to sleep in on the dark

mornings we have at this time of year.   I eventually extracted myself from my cosy bed at 08.20!   That is late for me ..... by about two hours.

We have a quiet, and (apart from the odd car accelerating up Ferry Road) peaceful morning.    There's a mix of light cloud and blue sky just now, but sunny intervals are forecast so we should enjoy a nice sunny day.    There's very little wind so not too much in the way of wind chill.   I'd say it is a good 'play day'.    I'm going to fire up the washing machine then have another cuppa before deciding  on a 'plan of action'.   I'm good at the planning bit;  the action?..... not so good.

12.30     It's a lovely late Autumn day ,though it is in fact Winter.    I've been up to the Paper Shop, and handed in the Rotary Christmas cards.   The Paper Shop was busy so I hastily oot o' the road.   So hastily that I forgot the paper.   Mind you there's nothing new there.  From he High Street I decided to go to the harbour because there's a nice 'light' about today.

Admiralty Lane is 'Closed' and the Highway Maintenance team are working at the bottom of the lane.   The workmen waved me through so there was 'nae problem' getting to the harbour..... and back out again.   F
rom Elie harbour I came home by way of Balbuthie ans Kinneuchar.

16.30    The sun had been with us most of the day;  and still gives me the urge to do things.   I suppose I have done not too badly 'doing things' today.

After lunch I decided to go to The Store because tomorrow will be taken up with the hearing test at the Vic.   That's at 14.00.   I don't know how long it takes but we're (Alice is going with me) early to have lunch in the Cafe .... and be in plenty of time for my appointment.    I always hope with appointments that I might get taken early.   Jimmy was the same; in fact it's probably from him that I get that.

The 'plan is to finish delivering my Christmas cards on  Friday;  that should give me plenty of time.
Alice has a friend in the Leven Beach Care Home, so I shall visit George the next time she goes to visit Marilyn.   I intended doing that a couple of weeks ago, but the side effects of the booster jab intervened.   I've also got George Gordon to visit but I don't know where he is.   I think it might be 'The Willows' in Cellardyke.
