Overcast and damp ....
17th December 2025 (Wednesday) 08.30 ..... It's a dreich morning, with light rain and fresh
winds forecast. Sunny spells could come our way in the middle of the day. It's a good day for going to the Vic for a Hearing Test. Because of the weather I am not very keen on going 'out and about', but will enjoy it once I get going. I'll have another cuppa then get on my way.19.20 This has been a busy old day. Alice and I arrived at the 'Vic' (Victoria Hospital) in time to have a snack lunch in the Cafe before I went for the hearing test. It was an interesting experience; the result of which is that I need two hearing aids, which I get in about six weeks. There was one bit that I was particularly impressed with; of all the sounds that I had to listen too, the clearest I picked up was one that sounded like Blob twittering away from the top of the Apple tree. He gets around.
22.30 The bus we took from Leven to the 'Vic' was busy; I actually enjoyed being on a bus again. That is how I have travelled to the hospital for the last 10 years or so. Since the car parks at the hospital got so bis and busy. There are various different bus routes to Kirkcaldy and further (the one we were on was was going as far as Dunfermline. It takes the hassle out of parking the car. The buses are well used around the Levenmouth area. A gentleman, who got on the bus at East Wemyss, whom we were talking to, was going to walk hid dog (a Labradoodle) from Dysart back home to to East Wemyss.
It looks like tomorrows weather is going to be much the same ad today's was; a mix of light rain with sunny spells in the middle of the day. I'm going to finish delivering Christmas cards: I'd hoped to do this on 'The Buggy' but need better weather for that, so car it will be.
I didn't take any photies today so have had a browse through the Archive. When I start going through
the old photographs of the villages, a browsing session can last a long time. I'll have the camera out with me tomorrow. We did a lot of walking at the hos[ital both inside and outside, so we have a tired boy at Ivy tonight. I won't be in a hurry to get out of bed in the morning!
