Light cloud .....

28th December 2025 (Sunday)    10.40     I've been for the paper (and remembered to get it);

met, and chatted to Dave;  exchanged 'news' then went our separate ways.   Dave went off home;  where did I go?.... where else but the harbour!    

 I though it would be quiet;  but the local swimmers (the 'Blue Tits')  were  getting ready to go in for their morning dip.   I went to my usual corner  overlooking the bay, and took a few 'today's weather' photies, then came home by way of Balbuthie and Kinneuchar.   The girls were swimming around in the harbour when I passed.

As was forecast we have an overcast morning with a cold breeze from the Northeast;  I won't be going to Nana's Seat until the sun breaks through;  which I'm hoping it will do in the middle of the day... as it did yesterday.    It has been a quick morning;  it's ''morning coffee' time!

19.45     The weather never really brightened as it did yesterday, so I never got down to Nana's Seat.   It was too cold,  with a damp air.   And I ended up having a migraine.   The final of the snooker was on TV and I settled to watch that;  then fell asleep and missed the end of it.   I'll check it later.

Ferry Road has been busy today, with vehicular traffic, and folk on foot. ... including colourful joggers.    I have nae plan for .... no that's not the case, I do have a plan for tomorrow;   I have to go to the Skeith Centre.   I must remember to phone them tomorrow morning.   I'll go to 'The Store'n when along there.   I don't need much but a browse round the aisles is exercise .

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

The morning after 'Storm Eowyn' ....

25th  January 2025 (Saturday)     08.30 .....  Well .... that was one frisky wind yesterday Candlelight evening....Unfortunately not a romantic one! afternoon;   from 14.30 to 17.30 it was absolutely ferocious.    And I got some damage at Ivy Cottage;  a ridge tile blew off, slid down the roof and broke the rhone (guttering I thinks it's called now) so that will have to be repaired.  A Red Warning of wind means damage and that's what we have;  not only at Ivy but at other places around Elie and Earlsferry.... and over the whole area of the red Warning.   I only hope no one was injured by stuff being blown around in the wind.    It's the worst wind I have ever experienced in Earlsferry.   I have never felt so useless .... and helpless.    My neighbour Mathew came round to see if I was OK.... which I really appreciated;  I enjoyed talking to him.... it calmed me down a bit.  ...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
