Light cloud ....
15th December 2025 (Monday) 09.30 .... It's a quiet kind of morning, cloudy with only a
light breeze but at least it's not raining: there is rain to the South of us (NE England), but it should stay there. The air has a chilly feel to it and it's never going to be 'warm' today.Carol (BBC Weather lassie) told us that tomorrow is going to be sunny..... and a good drying day! Actually Carol didn't say 'good drying day'; that was my bit of weather forecasting!
19.30 We've had a nice enough day; with sunny spells in the afternoon.... and a bonnie sunset.
I had a few cards to post, hence the photie of the Post Office van. And I did some 'ousework. Emily and John were coming up on Wednesday but had to cancel because Henry has 'bug'. Right enough ,it's the time of year for bugs. Anyway they will be coming up in the Spring when the weather is warmer; and there's fewer bugs going around. In fact I have been sneezing so I probably will end up with a cold. I'll have a 'JT' at bedtime and that will shake off any bugs. I'm going to the Vic to have a hearing aid test.... or whatever it is called. I'll most likely end up with an hearing aid.
With Emily and John and the boys (Henry and Austin) not coming at this time, I went up to Elie in the afternoon to post their Christmas card. That was at the bonniest part of 'today' so I went to The Toft.... and the harbour. The streets were quiet, as was the harbour. Having dais that the harbour was quiet; when I was leaving it a couple of brave people, were running down to the water to have a swim.
Tomorrow does look like being a good drying day..."sunny intervals with a moderate SW breeze". I'll get the shower towels out.
I must take the Christmas cards that I want delivered by the Rotary, along to Ian at the 'Paper Shop' tomorrow. ... and, if the weather is fine and not too cold I might get 'The Buggy' out and do a delivery run. Mind you I'd better nurse this 'cold' before I go for my hearing test on Wednesday afternoon. A 'Janice Toddie' is an excellent cold remedy: I should be fine for Wednesday.
22.15 I'm disappointed that 'The Troops' aren't coming on Wednesday, but it's the right thing to do. Colds and the other bugs are rife all around the country just now; and I'm never at my best at this time of year, especially when the weather is damp. The boys will enjoy the beach in the summer.
I might have a quiet day finishing off the Christmas cards; and doing a washing to morrow.
