Bright and breezy ....

10th December 2025 (Wednesday)     10.45 ....  We have a nice, sunny and breezy morning;  and

it's not as cold as I expected it to be.   There's a drying wind so I've hung out a small washing (it will probably get an extra rinse from the showers that are forecast).   The 'drying'  wind is mopping up the water that  was lying around;  but there's more rain to come.   It's the 'Atlantic Lows' season.   I'll have a cuppa before going for the paper.

15.30    It had been a breezy old day;  with heavy showers now and again.   Yes .... the washing had had another couple of rinses.   It's only a small washing so I'm not that bothered;  it's to be a better 'drying day' tomorrow.   I think ... er hope!

AS planned I went to Elie to pick up my prescription  and get the paper.     By the time I left the Chemist I'd decided to go down the Toll Green Post Box, so the paper was forgotten about.   Jock and Honor were taking in shopping when I was there, so I delivered their Christmas card, and chatted to Jock, for a couple o' minutes before going down to The Toft.

It was windy at the Toft but not cold for this time of year, even with the wind chill.   As you can see from the top photie we had an interesting sky.   It actually started to spit rain just after I'd taken that photo,  so I did some rapid snapping then galloped(?) back to the car.

With it spitting rain I didn't go as far as  the harbour, but went up Admiralty Lane then home by way of Balbuthie and Kinneuchar.

20.00    I feel like I've done a day's work;  which surprises me 'cos I didn't do very much in the afternoon.   I read the Gas and Electricity meters gto send in readings;  I suppose that could be stressful.   Anyway, apart from being tired I have enjoyed myself.

The washing got a few extra rinses, but it should dry tomorrow.    'Sunny spells with a fresh breeze is the

forecast.    If it (the washing) is still  wet in the morning, I'll bring it in and spin it then hang it out again.   Tomorrow's plan?    Emily, John, Henry and Austin  are coming next Wednesday for a pre Christmas visit so I'm going to take a 'day off'tomorrow, to pop along to Methil to annoy Alice.  On Friday I'll finish off the Chrissy stuff, and do some ooverin' and dustin:  sort of get ready for the 'troops' coming.
