Sunny ....

19th November 2025 (Wednesday)     10.00 ..... It's a lovely, sunny morning, but cold.   The

thermometer was at - 0.7C this morning;  the first time it's had a negative reading since I got it in March (birthday present).    It's never going to be overly warm today, but, thankfully there's only a light breeze so little in the way of wind chill. 

As I'm going for my booster jabs at midday I've been busy peeling tautties, and getting everything ready for dinner tonight.   Sausages and mash.   Must 'go'.... slight "Flap On";  it's "early morning coffee" time.

I had an exciting  dream last night! .....Scotland was in the final of the World Cup 2026!    And most of Scotland supporters were on tranquillisers!   

19.30    As you can see from the top photo the Lomond Hills (affectionately known in the good auld days as 'The Paps o' Fife) have a light covering of snow this morning.   I took today's photies photie on my way home from Ladywalk (Ainster) where the booster jabs were being done.   We, at least I did, only got a single jab that contained both boosters.   I don't think I was in the hall five minutes.   Anna and Janice were there at the time;  in fact, Janis said that a lot of Elie and Earlsferry folk had been there, around midday.  Anyway that's the booster for another six months.

It has been a sunny day but a cold one.   The highest temperature today was 6.2C.   The air feels like it could be colder tonight.   The Lomond Hills might be whiter in the morning.

I didn't do anything much this afternoon;  I was drowsier than I normally am  after lunch, and fell fast asleep for almost an hour.

It's suspicious that the Russians have a 'spy' boat off the North of Scotland;  just at the time Scotland's Football Team qualify for the World Cup.  They'll be checking on the Scottish Training  routines..... and Top Secret Diet  planned for next year. 

They spy on us, we spy on them, everyone is spying on each other;   I was wondering why there was so

much being made of all this spying;  then I remembered there's the Budget coming up next week.   Rachel Reeves is mair worrying, than anything the Russians are up to.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

The morning after 'Storm Eowyn' ....

25th  January 2025 (Saturday)     08.30 .....  Well .... that was one frisky wind yesterday Candlelight evening....Unfortunately not a romantic one! afternoon;   from 14.30 to 17.30 it was absolutely ferocious.    And I got some damage at Ivy Cottage;  a ridge tile blew off, slid down the roof and broke the rhone (guttering I thinks it's called now) so that will have to be repaired.  A Red Warning of wind means damage and that's what we have;  not only at Ivy but at other places around Elie and Earlsferry.... and over the whole area of the red Warning.   I only hope no one was injured by stuff being blown around in the wind.    It's the worst wind I have ever experienced in Earlsferry.   I have never felt so useless .... and helpless.    My neighbour Mathew came round to see if I was OK.... which I really appreciated;  I enjoyed talking to him.... it calmed me down a bit.  ...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
