Nice morning ....
10th November 2025 (Monday) 07.45 .... We've had some rain overnight, but the sky,
although mostly cloudy, has some clearer patched. 'Light rain' is forecast' so I'm looking for sunny spells later in the afternoon.I'm ready for the trip to Kirkcaldy... and even remembered my hearing aids. Ans the car keys. I'm feeling 'bright eyed and bushy tailed' this morning. It has taken a while but the good news is; I think the bug has gone.
19.00 This has been a busy day; and an interesting one. Sandy came for me at 09.00, we then went to Alice's where we had a cuppa, before going on to the Victoria Hospital. Sandy dropped us off at the hospital (in plenty of time) then went off home.
I got booked in, then Alice and I walked from Main Reception to the scanning dept, where patients are injected with thee radio active stuff. We then had three hours to wait before the actual scan. We passed that time in the Costa Cafe; where we had morning tea and passed the time chatting. As well as tea I was drinking copious amounts of water to flush the injected stuff through me. All that was followed by lunch (toastie) then back for the scan. That took 24 minutes, and we then wandered out of the hospital, and round to the bus stop. We did a lot of walking! Which is probably why I am tired now.
The car? I remembered to hand in the keys and , on the way home, saw it moored up in the garage area. I'll phone tomorrow and find out when it will be ready.
We ended up on, what appeared to be the tourist route, on the way back to Leven by bus: travelling
through different bits of Kirkcaldy, Buckhaven and Methil. The bus felt like it had solid tyres (or no suspension) and, going by the noise of the engine, we should have been moving much faster... and vertically.Alice was brilliant today.... and I really appreciated her being there. And a big "thank you" to Sandy who got me to my appointment on time.
It has been an eventful day, but I think tomorrow will have to be a 'rest day'. I have phone get a date to have the boiler serviced; that might be the extent of the 'work'!
