Bright and breezy ....
12th November 2025 (Wednesday) 08.45 ..... There's a chillier air this morning, but it's
dry and we should have sunny spells once the sun is higher. Actually this could be a good drying day so I'll do a washing while waiting for the boiler engineer. He's due in the afternoon. Ferry Road is starting to get busy with traffic. I was thinking of taking 'The Buggy' out but the cold wind has put me off that idea.
17.15 The time given to me for the arrival of the boiler engineer was 14.30; and that is 'iggzactly' when he arrived. That's the best timing ever! I just left him (actually there might have been two) get on with the job, while I sat down to watch something on the tele. I was asleep in 'nae time' and only woke up when the engineer called to let me know that he'd finished and needed a signature. Normally I offer them a cuppa but that didn't happen today. Anyway the Central Heating is ready for the colder days to come: they, apparently, arrive tomorrow!
20.30 The Aurora is going to be bright tonight, but it's cloudy with heavy rain here so won't be visible. I'll have a look out before bedtime to see how the sky is, but it certainly isn't very promising looking just now. Luckily I remembered to bring in the washing just before the rain arrived. I might do the ironing after this update.
When browsing the Archive I found a batch of folder with photographs captioned as the two I have used today. I must have had some 'plan'in mind for them but I can't think of what it was. The photographs were taken, and captioned, 14 years ago.
I've just had a look at the weather forecast for tomorrow; the rain we have just now, is to be with us
most of tomorrow. It will be damp but pollution levels will be low. That suits me because I'll get the stuff back on the boiler cupboard shelves. And get some more work done on the computer.I might get word about the car, and when it will be ready to pick up. It's a vital necessity in this weather.
