Overcast and damp ....

8th November 2025 (Saturday)      09.00 .... We have a damp morning, with mist coming in from

the North sea on a light SE breeze;  not a bonnie morning;  but it's warm, and could brighten up later.   If it does, I  might get 'The Buggy' out;  as long as it's not actually raining.

I'm going to have an early morning coffee.   Kirsty is picking me up at 10.00 and we're going to see her new house up in Elie.

13.30    I've had a browse round Kirsty's new house;  one of her neighbours is Maurice, Maggie's cousin, whom I haven't seen for a good number of years.  It's a roomy house (it needs a name) with plenty off street parking,, and a huge garden.    The 'Team' will have to do some stripping of old wallpaper;  then again 'The Team' might have too many tea breaks to be of much use.   I used to have a steam stripper which would be invaluable for that wallpaper stripping job.  But I can't think where it is;  but I haven't seen it around Ivy for a long time.   It was an interesting morning.   We went back to Ivy and had a cuppa and chat.   Myra, the other member of 'The Team', is on a cruise ship, somewhere near Portugal.

18.45   The afternoon turned out fairly 'exciting':  the car wouldn't start!    I got the RAC out and the mechanic tested it, decided i needed a new battery;  but even then it wouldn't start.   It needs the connections to the starting motor checked.

The 'excitement' with the car was mostly because I have a appointment at the Vic on Monday.   The plan was to take the car to Leven Bus Station (I stopped going to the 'Vic' in the car way before COVID.   So I was in  a major 'Flap On' state.

22.30    Sandy (Alice's son in law) been organised for getting us to Leven Bus Station on Monday;  so I can begin to relax.   I am really grateful to my neighbour Tom whom  followed me to the garage  in his car, and brought me home.    Unfortunately, once the mechanic got my car started, it couldn't be stopped again until I got to the garage.

Tomorrow is definitely going to be a 'rest' day!   It's Sunday so I might even have a 'lazy' day.    Right now it's bedtime.
