Heavy rain ....
18th November 2025 (Tuesday) 11.30 .... I'm late with 'The Hutte ....not because I've been
malingering or anything like that; I've been busy. The 'Master Plan' was to go to Lorraine's, and make an appointment to get my haircut. However Lorraine isn't working today, so that was the end of that 'plan'. By this time I was 'fired up', and in the mood to do something; I took a couple of wet looking photographs in Elie! Then I made up my mind to go to 'The Store'; it was, at that time, a good kind of day for wandering round a shop! .... and I''d stop at the 'Paper Shop' on the way home.'The Store'was quiet, not surprising on a morning like is has been. Anyway, I wandered round the shop bought a fair amount of vital needed foodstuff; and some vitally needed ... er .... 'goodies'. On the way home I noticed that the rain wasn't as heavy as it was on the way along. In fact the sky is starting to brighten and we should have dry afternoon.... with sunny spells. Carole (the weather lassie) didn't mention sunny spells; but I'm feeling, in the mood for 'sunny spells'. The paper?..... I completely forgot about that!
16.30 Sunny spells? .... the sky brightened a bit and the rain stopped for a wee while in the middle of the day; but that was it.... no sunny spells! The rain came back in the middle of the afternoon, and we now have a dreich evening. Forget the rain! .... it's going to move away overnight to give us a cold and sunny Wednesday. As a matter of interest, the thermometer only got up to 6.2C today
I never went out with the camera this afternoon, but, I took a load of sunny photographs yesterday. The top one is 'Today'.... the other two taken 'Yesterday'.
19.30 It's wet and cold out tonight (I've been at the bin; and it's to be cold again tomorrow but at least it will be dry and sunny. I'm really tired tonight, after a fairly busy day; and the weather has been mostly heavy rain/sleet... and slightly depressing.
Scotland play Denmark at Hampden tonight; a game that might see them qualify for the 2026 World
Cup. The game is on the tele so I'll watch that. It's a long time since Scotland qualified for the World Cup (1998). That said I'll probably fall asleep.
