Lovely morning ....
15th November 2025 (Saturday) We had a sunny start to Saturday, but a whole lot of clouds
have drifted over in the past hour and it now looks like we could have showers. I went for a paper, then down to the harbour to take a few 'today' photos . There's a chilly breeze but I was well wrapped up and didn't find it overly cauld at the harbour. I came home by way of Kinneuchar and Colinsburgh, to fuel up the car.Colinsburgh Main Street is looking very smart after being resurfaced and relined etc. It looked to me that the 'parking' bays have been made slightly wider to accommodate the new wider cars. Maybe it's just because the lines are new and more noticeable. It could be tricky taking a big grain lorry through Colinsburgh.
When I think of Colinsburgh Main Street 70 years ago, with only a few carts in the whole village, compared to now. However, that is progress: and has happened, not only in Colinsburgh, but throughout the all of the villages, towns and cities in the UK. And the World! No wonder the Planet is struggling to cope with us. Mother Earth can support us; but we have to begin taking an holistic approach to how we treat 'Her'.
20.00 I was looking for something to watch on the tele in the afternoon, and... I ended up watching a game of football on BBC Alba! East Fife v Stenhousemuir. I've never been to 'The New Bayview' to watch East Fife: and the last time I went to the 'Auld Bayview,' (it's now housing) Charlie Fleming was playing for East Fife. The whole of today's game was on TV, and East Fife won 1 - 0. The players were excited with their win!
Actually East Fife are third or fourth in the Division that they play in. It's good that the BBC show the less known, local teams. The Bayview pitch looked like there had been a shower of snow; and the clouds that have been around this afternoon, had the look of 'snow' clouds about them. It certainly was cold enough.
I met Dave when up Elie; it has been a while since I've seen him. We had a good chat about our howwe are still running around (that could be fake news in my case) and enjoying being ... well ...'us'!
Dave is fitter than I am, and was hurrying home to get Joyce's breakfast ready! .... (that might de fake news too).
