Grey and damp ....

27th November 2025 (Thursday)    10.00 .... We have a grey, damp and bleak start to the day;

but it's much warmer!.... 12.4C.   If the sun would break through (we might be lucky) we'd have a bonnie summer like day!   'Light rain and gusty winds' is the forecast doe KY9.    The wind is to freshen in the afternoon; and overnight through to Friday,  up to F4 - 5.

16.00     The wind has begun to freshen, and is forecast to reach Gale Force (F7 - 8) overnight and tomorrow morning, then moderate late tomorrow afternoon.
We've had a day of mixed weather, including a long sunny spell in the middle of the day.    With the increasing wind velocity ,the sky is clearing just now.    It has been warm;  12.9C was the highest  reading today.  With the stronger winds it will be colder tonight and tomorrow due to wind chill.

What have I been doing today?   After morning coffee I decided to go for a longer run in the car, so went to 'The Store' (Anstruther) and did  some shopping.  It was raining (light) at the time, but not cold.   'The Store' was quiet (I timed it to miss the lunch time rush from the Waid).   I got a few extra things as Iain is coming down this weekend.   That reminds me, I must phone him to see if he's remembering the steam stripper!   Anyway I got' all the things on my list;  and a few other things other that 'fell intae the trolley' on the way round.

I chose to come home by way of 'the back toads' (Kellie Castle and Arncroach), to see how tired I am tonight after the longer spell of driving.   (Note to me .... I must phone 'My Secretary' to make an appointment for coffee sometime soon).    'My Secretary?    Morven my niece!   I'll get my Christmas cards done first!
Anyway.... where was I?   Oh aye.... coming home via Kellie Castle and Erncroach.   The n
back roads were very quiet today, the only thing I met a tractor, and it was an older one;  therefore smaller than the huge ones that can be met on country roads nowadays.     I enjoyed my the out in the car;  in spite of the slightly damp weather..

Going buy the number of cats parked on Main Street, Kinneuchar is busy.    It's a good sign for the local
economy (The Kinneuchar Inn) but not for negotiating of the randomly parked cars.

Back home I put the messages away, had a 'lite bite' lunch;  including  one of the 'things' that fell into the trolley for dessert.   I'm almost back being a 100% "happy boy"v again.   I'll never be 'happy' about the 'two in one' booster jab!
