Overcast and damp ....

28th June 2025 (Saturday)    08.30 .... It's overcast, with light drizzle jut now, but the cloud is

starting to break up, to give KY9 a 'bright and breezy' day:  a good drying day, which is what I need with a washing going through the machine.   I'm feeling 'brighter and breezier' this morning.... might even have a walk up to the seat at the 17th green later.

21.45  We'e had an absolutely gorgeous sunny and warm day..... but slightly breezier than I'd have liked.   Having said that, even when out in the open it wasn't cold, especially in the afternoon after the breeze had calmed down.

The golf course was busy today with a klaxon start at 10.30 , and groups starting from the 18 tees tee.   It was a lovely morning, and, having been told about the competition by Marcia, I went up to the seat at the 17th green to catch some of the action.   I thought about getting the bike out and going up to the seat at the 6th tee but it is wide open to the West wind so I stayed where I was.   There was a lot of good golfers on the course:  the first group that came down the 17th (two ball foursome) had a three and a four;  and wasn't far off being a two and a three!

The seat at the 17th is exposed to the West wind so I moved over to the seats in front of 'The Thistle' clubhouse which were slightly more sheltered.   And different views of this corner of the course.  After a while I need a 'comfort break' so went back to Ivy ... and had a cuppa.   The activity on the golf course had got to me;  I just had to go up to 'The Thistle' clubhouse again, and get a few more photographs before going down to Nana's seat overlooking the beach.   I've been wanting to do that for a number of days, and, for some unknown reason I was having a good day.... so this was the day!   The beach was quieter than the golf course but it was marvellous sitting and just relaxing.....enjoying the sunshine.   I nearly fell asleep on Nana's Seat, which is quite sheltered by the bents.   You'd expect it to be really exposed but it isn't.   Mind you it wasn't "blawin' a hoolie".

I eventually wandered my way back to Ivy, and had a late lunch, before uploading the photographs onto

the computer.   I ended up taking 293 photographs (of the golf and the beach).  Loads to 'play' with over the next few days.   I then had a cuppa before charging the Mobility Scooter battery.  That's an easy job;  all it involves is connecting and plugging in.

This has been an excellent day for me;   and I only used the Blue inhaler once;  and that was before I had my shower.

Tomorrow?.... that is going to be a woollen wash day.   And a rest day!  I'll go for a paper then idle my way through the day.
