Westerly breeze at the moment.   The breeze is to back to the East later.... and it's to be sunny for most of the day.  I'm still feeling under the weather so will be lying low again.   I think I may be fractionally 'better' than I was yesterday, the sair throat has gone, but my nose is running and I've got a headache.   I am not enjoying this 'bug'.

11.15    I'm feeling 'better'... and have actually done some weeding.   It's a lovely, warm day (19C at the moment) ;  a braw day for pottering about.... and shaking off this bug.   Hey .... I am beginning to feel positive;  I'm having 'morning coffee' outside.

17.00    Although not 100% I'm feeling much better.... and have even done a reasonable bit of weeding.   It has been a lovely, sunny day, but it turned cooler when the breeze went to the East.   The temperature reached 22.5 at some point in the afternoon.  I nearly fell asleep outside having my morning coffee;  it was really warm at that time.    I wouldn't have my coffee outside now.

21.30    We have a lovely evening but the easterly breeze is chillier.   I've had a better day;  in fact I enjoyed pulling the weeds;  however, although I had food I'm not really enjoying it.... it's sort of tasteless.   I didn't go out with the camera at all today... so I raided the archive for a couple:  and I'll have early night in bed again, and I hope to feel brighter eyed and bushier tailed tomorrow.   My mobility scooter i being delivered on Friday;  it could have been tomorrow, but Friday gives me another day to get over the 'bug'.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Nice morning .....

4th January 2024 (Saturday)    09.15 .... The car windscreens is clear, the washing I left out Shona huggin' a huge Kilbrackmont tree! overnight is flapping about in the breeze, and my breathing easier.   The sky is mostly cloudy just now, but our weather forecast for today is "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze".    There's a Yellow Warning for snow active from midnight tonight through to midday on Monday;  though I imagine it will more likely be sleet, or rain,  for us.   'Sunny Sussex' and most of the South of England is covered by an Amber Warning for snow today, so most of the UK is likely to see snow at some point over the next few days. 20.00    Although not the best of drying days the washing was nearly dry by the end of the afternoon.   Earlier in the afternoon I'd gone to Methil to annoy Alice.  We had a cuppa before going shopping.  We went to Sainsbury's they have 'everything' and are trying ...
