Lovely morning ....

10th June 2025 (Tuesday)    08.00 .... Oh.... I sneezed!   I hope that's a good sign, because right


now I am not in 'playful' mode;  being choked up with  the cold.   It's another 'potter around Ivy' day I'm thinkin'.  Anyway I'm up, had  breakfast, and now ready for a cuppa... and to take the pills.   It will be another day watching the 'News';  and anything else I find interesting on the TV.  "Sunny, with a moderate breeze" is the KY9 weather forecast for the whole of Tuesday.

11.45   It's a nice enough day but chilly in the brisk Westerly breeze.    I've been watching the TT races from the Isle of Man, cat napping, and drinking plenty liquids;  and watching the News'.  I see on the 'News' we have a school shooting in Graz (Austria).   The world is awash with weapons of all kinds;  so it's not surprising that some end up in the hands of 'sick' people.    My thoughts, and prayers, are with the families of the victims of this atrocity.

I think I'll go for a short run in the car to take a few photographs.   'Playing' with photographs takes into my World.   We live in a beautiful corner of Mother Earth, and it's full of lovely people;  we are so lucky living where we do.   Oops I sneezed... and again .... and have been doing that all morning.

14.00   I went for the Balbuthie/ Kinneuchar run in the car... and got some photographs to 'play' with.  They are the usual ones I take on this run, but I enjoy taking them, and although from the same viewpoint they are always different.

I'm tired now and ready to watch the TV... with a cuppa.

17.45   We're ending Tuesday with a lovely, warm evening.   If I didn't have the 'bug' I'd go out on the bike.   However this has been a useless day for me.   I pulled a few weeds in the garden but that's all the 'work' I've done.  Most of the time I've been asleep in front of the TV, nursing a sair throat and a slight headache.   It will be an early night in bed for me tonight:  actually I'm hoping that the sneezing is an indication that I'm  beginning to get better.   After last night's rain the tubs won't need watering;  I'm happy about that.

Tomorrow is going to be 'sunny with a moderate breeze' in the KY9 area:  the breeze is going to be from
the SW first, then backing Easterly.  I'm making no 'plan' for tomorrow; but I hope to feel that I'm on the mend.  This hasn't been an enjoyable day;  I couldn't work up any enthusiasm to do anything today.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Nice morning .....

4th January 2024 (Saturday)    09.15 .... The car windscreens is clear, the washing I left out Shona huggin' a huge Kilbrackmont tree! overnight is flapping about in the breeze, and my breathing easier.   The sky is mostly cloudy just now, but our weather forecast for today is "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze".    There's a Yellow Warning for snow active from midnight tonight through to midday on Monday;  though I imagine it will more likely be sleet, or rain,  for us.   'Sunny Sussex' and most of the South of England is covered by an Amber Warning for snow today, so most of the UK is likely to see snow at some point over the next few days. 20.00    Although not the best of drying days the washing was nearly dry by the end of the afternoon.   Earlier in the afternoon I'd gone to Methil to annoy Alice.  We had a cuppa before going shopping.  We went to Sainsbury's they have 'everything' and are trying ...
