Bright and breezy ....
8th June 2025 (Sunday) 09.30 .... It's a lovely morning; "sunny intervals with a moderate breeze"
is the weather forecast for KY9 today, but it's chilly out in the open; and there's the chance of light rain showers.Iain felt fine this morning so is now on his way home, in fact he should get back to Auchnagatt about 10.30. I'm feeling much better, and will have a quiet day pottering around the garden.
15.30 Iain phoned to tell me that he has tested 'positive' for COVID; so I'll be lying low for the next few days. Strangely enough I have the beginnings of a sair throat, and have been dropping off the sleep at odd times (for me). It wouldn't surprise me if I have the headache Iain had, tomorrow. Luckily I had the COVID booster three weeks ago so, even if I do have COVID it will be mild. One thing I don't have to worry about: I have loads of food in. Iain didn't eat very much yesterday. Actually I'm hoping that I'm 'better' by Wednesday, because the Mobility Scooter is being delivered on Wednesday or Thursday.
19.15 It has been a strange day for me; I'd been looking forward to having Iain's company until midday, but he did the right thing driving home in the morning, when the roads would be quieter.
I was going to put the 'bloo' bin out but, on checking the Fife Bin Calendar it's the Grey one this week : I was also going to put the 'Balvonie' blue bin out: The 'Blue' bins are next week. The lovely framework you see in the photograph is the exact dimensions of the mobility scooter. I can drive that through the front gate so the actual scooter should manoeuvre through it too; once I get the hang of it.
I think I have the 'bug' right enough; I'll have to lie low for the next few days.
