Chilly wind ....
23rd June 2025 (Monday) 08.45 .... It's a breezy morning;.... in fact 'strong winds' are forecast
for the middle of the day, and there's noticeable drop in temperature. The question is: is the end of last winter or the beginning of next? Hopefully it's a temporary 'blip' until our long warm summer really gets going. It's certainly much cooler this morning; and I was thinking of going out on the bike for some exercise! Change of 'plan'. Kettle 'on'.Stirling Castle ... 2012.
21.30 For some unknown reason I've been in a 'housekeeping mood. Right enough, since I had that bug I've never really been in the mood to do very much 'ousework; just the basic run roond wi' the 'oover. Didn't bother flicking things wi' the feather duster. The feather duster is one of my favourite jobs; it's easy, and I kid myself on that I've done some dustin'.
I decided to have sausages and mash for dinner, one of my favourites: this is a sign that I am recovering well from the bug....my appetite is coming back!
Heather and Alistair (my sister in law and son) came down this evening; we had a cuppa, and good old catch up wi' each others 'news'. They brightened up what had been a quiet, kind of day for me. I never went out on the scooter; mostly because of the traffic around Ferry Corner. I thought about going out late in the afternoon, but the sky looked threatening at times. I might go out early tomorrow morning.
22.30 I've had a good 'rest day'.... even though I did some 'ousework. Actually I feel tired now. I don't know how Maggie was able to do the housework and still have time to spoil me. But she did.
Today's photies were taken on the History Society outing to Stirling Castle in 2012. The photo on the left is detail from one of the ceilings in the renovated Royal Palace part of the Castle.
It has been colder today, and and certainly better for doing things. I don't like when it's to hot humid. Tomorrow is to be much the same as today, but less windy.
