Misty and damp .....

27th June 2025 (Friday)    08.15 .... We have a nice, quiet start to Friday;  being grey and damp its

Largo Law from the NW
not a bonnie morning, but I didn't water the tubs yesterday so I need the 'light rain' that's forecast for today.  (The light rain is to be with us, intermittently, for most of today).   Sunny spells aren't mentioned, but you never know;  we might get lucky.
I'm going to visit Alice, and  this is perfect shopping weather.  Anyway, Alice is bound to need annoying.

18.45   It has been a grey and 'mauchless' day, with drizzle/light rain now and again.... and no sunny spells!    But the Western sky is brightening up!

Alice and I had a small, but successful shopping session;  with an enjoyable and tasty lunch afterwards at the Alice HQ.   I decided to go Colinsburgh for fuel on the way to Methil, and got lucky;  the forecourt was empty.   This was a problem!.... which lane should I use?    I chose the middle one.    Getting the fuel and exiting the garage was the easy bit in Colinsburgh!

Road into Upper Largo.
Remember that huge tractor and trailer I met twice on Wednesday?.... well I met in in Colinsburgh Main Street today and that is not the best place to meet that tractor, which was being followed by three cars and a huge lorry.   The tractor eventually got through a tricky bit (I was watching it in the wing mirror) and the traffic got moving again.   I was able to move forward into another space because there was another huge lorry, followed by another four cars coming into the Main Street from the West.   Colinsburgh is not the place to meet a string of traffic that includes large vehicles.   I remember seeing the plan for a by-pass in the mid 1950's: when there was nothing like traffic that we have now.

22.00    The sky is to be clearer tomorrow.... with sunny intervals and strong winds.  That's a good drying day:  I'll do the woollen wash I've been threatening to do.    My muscles are near enough back to their  normal 'flab' strength, so I can turn down the heat on the shower.   And stop doing foolish jobs in the garden.
I was thinking that this weekend was the start of the Edinburgh Trades Fortnight, but it isn't:  it starts
Elie Estate sycamore tree.
next weekend.... and is the beginning of the holiday season.
Apart from doing the woollen washing I don't have a 'plan' for tomorrow;  I'd like to have a wander down to the beach if the air is good.
