Nice fresh morning ....
25th June 2025 (Wednesday) 08.30 .... We have a lovely, fresh morning.... "sunny intervals with a
moderate breeze" being today's forecast for KY9. I haven't an 'action plan' for today but, .... I might clean the windows in the afternoon. Right now it's breakfast time.12.00 I decided to go for the paper, go down to the harbour then home by way of Balbuthie and Kinneuchar. It's a lovely day... and warm. I was ready for a 'cold snap', but that never happened. I was glad to get home and cool orf. I got my usual batch of photographs to 'play' with in the evening; I've a funny feeling I will fall asleep in the afternoon.
19.00 The sky has clouded over but most of today has been sunny ....and warm; in fact it was humid (mauchless) in the afternoon. I've had a reasonably active day; with a good siesta in the afternoon. Late in the afternoon I went to 'The Store' (Co-op, Ainster), something to keep me occupied. Shopping wasn't a vital necessity, but I wanted to go out somewhere. I bought a few bits and pieces and came home by the Kellie Castle Arncroach road for a change of scenery. Normally that road is a relaxing drive: but it was busy today.
The countryside is looking really bonnie just now; "Forty shades of green" right enough! I eventually drifted back to Ivy; well ready for a cuppa. On the way into Ainster (Anstruther) I met a huge tractor with a long trailer; right at the 'Buckie Hoose' corner. We all got through and the tractor must have got going again, because I met it in Kinneuchar on the way home. It was one of the biggest tractors I've seen on the road. Then again it did have a big trailer which made it a 'Long Vehicle'.... and it was a 'Long Vehicle'.
21.00 The East Neuk villages are beginning to fill up with holiday makers; and we still have camper vans going round Earlsferry looking for 'Elie Caravan Park'. That must rank as one of the stupidest marketing ploys ever. A bit like Trump changing the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.
I've had a funny old day: my mood has been a bit like the weather.... changeable. There's a feel of rain
in the air this evening; which is not surprising as 'light rain is forecast overnight through to tomorrow morning.... then turning showery with sunny intervals and a fresh breeze tomorrow. We're going to the Leven Golfing Society for lunch, that's a big change in venue for us. It will be a change of scenery too .... depending on the road Kirsty chooses to take on the way home. A Kirsty Mystery Tour.
