Lovely morning ....

5th June 2025 (Thursday)    08.00    We have fluffy clouds bumbling across a lovely blue sky just

now, powered by a moderate Westerly breeze:  The Westerly breeze is obviously originating from the Arctic because its chilly.   The weather forecast for KY9 is .... (20 second delay) .... is ..."sunny intervals with a moderate breeze".   The wind chill means it will be cool on the beach... and the golf course.   It also means I am unlikely to go out on the bike.   Oh I nearly forgot;  the "KY9" area was on the BBC weather map the other day..... I like that;  that's my 'playground'.

11.30    I've a funny feeling that I might not have been overly popular at Woodhaven  Bottle Bank this morrrrrrning;  I was there at 09.15, so not as early as I have been known to go to the bottle bank.... and, I snuck out as quietly as I could!    It was a bit late for being quiet I know, but I was feeling a wee bit guilty!   I then moored up, in the Car Park to take a few photos, before going to The Toft.   I meant to go to the 'paper shop, and the baker, but changed my body warmer at the last minute, and, having left my wallet in the original body warmer, I had nae money,   So. nae shopping.

It's a nice day, and not as cold as I thought it would be;  I might get the bike out in the afternoon.   I have a fully charged battery (and so has the bike) so could go up to Kinneuchar;   I'll see how I feel.... and how windy it is.   

19.30    Although it has been cloudier than expected, this has been a nice enough day for getting things done.  The wind has dropped in the last hour and with it the wind chill factor, so it feels warmer.   I'd go out on the bike but I never exercise on a full stomach; and never have done.   The plan is to get up early tomorrow morning and do some shopping;  Iain is coming down tomorrow.    I have some food in the freezer but need to get stocked up with some different 'foods'.   Penguin biscuits comes to mind.


I felt sorry for the German Chancellor in the Oval Office, meeting with President Trump.   The Chancellor might as have sent a cardboard cut out to Oval Office;  and watched the meeting on TV in the comfort of his Hotel suite.   Trump would have happily talked about his 'amazing achievements' to a cardboard cut out.   And probably bored it! 

22.30   If President Trump and his former friend Elon falling out on Social Media is modern day
politics, it looks like we're in for an interesting few days;  until someone calms them down.   It's one way of "Making America Great Again" I suppose;  but rather pathetic, and sad really.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Nice morning .....

4th January 2024 (Saturday)    09.15 .... The car windscreens is clear, the washing I left out Shona huggin' a huge Kilbrackmont tree! overnight is flapping about in the breeze, and my breathing easier.   The sky is mostly cloudy just now, but our weather forecast for today is "sunny intervals with a gentle breeze".    There's a Yellow Warning for snow active from midnight tonight through to midday on Monday;  though I imagine it will more likely be sleet, or rain,  for us.   'Sunny Sussex' and most of the South of England is covered by an Amber Warning for snow today, so most of the UK is likely to see snow at some point over the next few days. 20.00    Although not the best of drying days the washing was nearly dry by the end of the afternoon.   Earlier in the afternoon I'd gone to Methil to annoy Alice.  We had a cuppa before going shopping.  We went to Sainsbury's they have 'everything' and are trying ...
