Sunny ....
10th May 2026 (Sunday) 09.00 .... It's a lovely sunny morning, with hardly any breeze; what
wind there is is from the Westerly direction, and warm in the sun. However, if the wind freshens it could be chilly. Ferry Road has been quiet so far; I haven't seen a single jogger pass the window this morning.19.45 It has been a lovely, sunny and warm, day; but it has clouded over in the past hour or so. A band of rain is going to pass over us overnight; which is handy when it comes to watering the tubs.
I've had a lazy day: playing with the new hoover was tiring 'work'.... as I found out today. Anyway I know how to put it together now, and I enjoyed using it once it was operational.
My morning started with a migraine, so most of 'today' has been spent resting in The Hutte; the only 'work' was watering the tubs, and the greenhouse late in the afternoon. That was heavy work. I then made sausages and mash for dinner; and I enjoyed it. I see that the wind has freshened so I'm going out to close up the greenhouse and The Hutte. I might set up a Soduko for tomorrow morning when I'm out there. And, I'll put the kettle 'on' before I go out!
19.30 That's the greenhouse and The Hutte battened sown for the night. The wind has freshened quite a bit, but it was warm in The Hutte so I had my cuppa out there.
I got a surprise phone call yesterday; it was from Colin and Sue (New Zealand). Colin is Margaret's son (Sue his partner); the Margaret whom I visited, out in New Zealand, in 2014. Colin and Sue are over here on holiday and are staying in St Minnins, and are visiting me tomorrow afternoon. All that playing with the hoover wasn't wasted; the living room is looking good! That was lucky.
I might have a flick round with the feather duster in the morning!n There are still enough feathers left
in it to call it a 'feather' duster. Anyway I'm looking forward to seeing Colin and Sue tomorrow afternoon.I'm tired tonight; I won't be playing with the hoover for a long time!
Today's photographs were taken in 2014.
