Bright and breezy ....
6th May 2026 (Wednesday) 10.30 .... I've been 'up and runni ... er blundering around, since
We have a lovely, sunny, and breezy, morning; the breeze id from the NNE so it's chilly. That means I'm, more or less, confined to Ivy (mostly 'The Hutte') because of the wind. This is the Elie Friendship Lunch day, and Myra offered to pick me up at 12.30, and take me along to the Kirk Hall: but the cold snap has upset the auld tubes again, so I'm going to have to miss out... again. And this will probably be the last Elie Friendship Lunch before the Summer 'recess'. Pity about that.
16.30 We've had a lovely Spring day at KY9, but it is chilly out in the open. I was sorely tempted to go out on 'The Buggy'; got it out of it's hut, but when I went to put out the ramp, I found out just how cold it was out in the open. The plan to go out on The Buggy was put back on the shelf; and The Buggy back in it's hut. The cold gets into my chest and that's me holed up, for another few days. I did a bit of drawing in The Hutte and a couple of Soduko's.
Myra arrived early to pick me up; unfortunately I'd just woken up from one of my cat-naps, so was still in a daze; however, I had decided not to go, because of the cold snap, so Myra didn't have to hang around until I smartened myself up.
The chance of a Peace deal in the Middle East is once more back on agenda: lets hope it happens this time, and leads to permanent Peace in the Middle East. President Trump is only six months away from the Mid Term Elections in the USA, and, at the moment is losing credibility faster than the cost of living is rising!
I have Pendulous Sedge in the garden; a plant that appeared round about 12 years ago. At first I couldn't think where it came from then it hit me: Balcarres has it growing on the side of the Saw Mill pond, and I must have picked some of the tiny seeds up on my shoes Anyway I have just one clump of it and will keep it, because it reminds me of the good old days, when I biked up to Balcarres and all round the Estate.
I'm going to go up up the Hutte and contemplate . MI might also do some drawing; and maybe even
aSoduko before dinner. Earlsferry seems to be busy, going by the traffic on Ferry Road. I might go for a turn round the village (in the car) in the evening.
