Nice morning .....
1st May 2026 (Friday) 09.45 ....Is this not the morning when we're supposed to wash our faces
with morning dew? Anyway by the time i got up (slept in) the morning dew had been evaporated by a warm sun, aided by a drying breeze. Face washed in the shower, had breakfast, taken a hay fever pill; yes... I'm ready to 'rock 'n roll. Going by the Glenfuir flags (I can see them) the breeze is from the SSW.20.30 Although we have light rain just now, most of the daylight hours have been mostly sunny and warm. Even with the rain the air is warm; and the pollen count 'low'. I've had a laz ... er ... restful day. I didn't mean be 'lazy'; nut I sat down to watch the snooker after lunch and it was so exciting that I couldn't stop watching it. It's the World Championships (from the Crucible in Sheffield ... on BBC 2 usually)). The top players in the World have been taking playing, and the snooker has been of supreme quality., and we are at the semi final stage. I haven't been lazy.... just enthralled by the quality of snooker played. I did do some 'work' in the morning, and stopped to make cuppas at regular intervals. Don't want to get dehydrated.
I've also been keeping up with the News. I think our former Prime Minister John Major (1990 - 1997) probably said the most intelligent thing that has been said by a politician for many years. He said some thing profound, and yet so simple: "that we should leave the World a better place for future generations", and that "all over the World people worry about what kind of World our great grandchildren would inherit". I think that is the gist of what Mr Major said.
