Sunny and warm ....
26th May 2026 (Tuesday) 11.00 .... It's an absolutely stunning morning; and I have been up to
Chapel Green (in the car) to enjoy some sun, before it becomes too hot. There's a nice breeze (SSE) so it will be a nice day for the beach. and golf course. A few years ago I'd have gone out early, on the bike, to go for the paper; sometimes via St Andrews! Those days are past.... but I have the photographs! That reminds me I took a load o' photies up at Chapel Green so today's photographs were taken.... today!15.30 I was amazed at how I felt this morning; I can't say I was "bright eyed and bushy tailed'"... but I wasn't far from it, up at Chapel Green. I even walked round the green, stopping to have a rest at 'The Boss's seat. When I left the seat I'd decided to do some 'ooverin' and dustin'. That hadn't been on my mind when I got 'up' this morning.
There was a good 'light' about at that time, hence the 'load o' photies' taken. The green was busy, which kind of surprised me because I thought the holiday weekend was over. However, I met Claire when I got back to Ivy, and she told me it is still half - term. It is certainly ideal holiday weather for the young folk.
About 11.30 the 'bright eyed and bushy tailed' feeling faded away, and I began to feel tired; by this time the was high in the sky, and it was hot: anyway I'd enjoyed the cooler morning air. Actually I might do it all again to morrow. At the moment we have full sunshine from a wall to wall blue sky; luckily there's a light breeze, so it will be nice on the beach. The tide was almost in when I was up at Chapel Green, so it will be out now. A big beach to play on.
