Chilly ....
11th May 2026 (Monday) 09.00 .... The first thing that hit me when I went outside this morning
was the chilly NW breeze; there's a wintry feel to it. The sun occasionally finds a hole, in the broken cloud, to brighten things up, But not often enough. Me? ..... I'm going to tun round then 'man cave' with the hoover: and give things a flick wi' the feather duster. After I've had another cuppa! The Hutte should be cosy in a wee while so I'll go out there and ponder. Pondering is good. One of the sunny spells has come over; what a difference that makes. In weather terms you wouldn't describe President Trump as a 'sunny spell'! He's more like the dull, overcast ,damp and depressing weather we get around the year's end.17.00 Colin and Sue arrived (on their bikes) t 14.00, and we've had a great catch up with all the NZ from New Zealand. They come over regularly for a touring holiday in their vintage VW camper van. Colin's Mum Margaret ('M' is originally from Cellardyke: she emigrated with her husband Bobby (Wood) to New Zealand in 1959. Anyway, I have enjoyed myself today: and I look forward to seeing them the next time they are over here.
The weather has been lovely in the afternoon, albeit chilly out in the open. I went up to the 'paper shop' in the morning to get some bits and pieces; and forgot the paper. However I got all the bits that I wanted.... plus a punnet o' Blacketyside strawberries.
20.30 This has been an exciting day for me; and I am a 'happy boy' tonight. And also a tired one.
Tomorrow I have to go to Methil Library to have my hearing aids cleaned; it seems a strange place to have that done, but that's where I go, anytime between 09.30 and 11,30.
Alice lives not far from the Methil Library so I'll take time out to annoy her; and probably do a wee shopping when in Levenmouth.
I see on the news this evening that some of the Labour MP's think it's time for the Prime Minister to 'go'. A change of Prime minister at this time would be would be an error! They don't have anybody to replace him. Oh well; Nigel will be loving this. If things keep on this way, he will be girted the job of Prime Minister at the next election.
