Nice morning ....

18th May 2026 (Monday)      09.30 ,,,, At the moment, it's a peaceful kind of morning in KY9;   A

layer of cloud has moved  over us in the past hour on a light SE breeze.... and  'light rain showers' are forecast,  which the flower tubs would appreciate!  Actually I'm going to water the tubs after this update;  I meant to do it last night.    Ferry Rod is starting to get busy;  a couple of joggers just pattered their way past.

16.45    I've been lucky;  one of the showers that have been around this afternoon, came our way and watered the tubs;  but not enough so I'll have to do that again later this evening.    It has been a nice day, and reasonably warm in spite of the breeze being from the Southeast.   (Not my favourite wind direction).   I did some research on the computer, but never went out on the bike or buggy.   The wind has freshened in the last hour, and the sun is breaking through;  we could have a nice evening.

20.00    The evening has turned out nice;  if the wind wasn't from the SE I'd have  wander to Nana's Sear.   It's nice and warm out on the patio, but not out in the open.    Anyway I'm tired after a reasonably active day.

No plan for tomorrow, but I must remember that I have my booster jab on Wednesday.    This is just a single jab for COVID.   The last one I had (November) was a combined flu and COVID one, and it floored me for a couple of days.   I did not like that one!

I've just had a look at the weather forecast for tomorrow, and we should have spells of rain later tonight, and into tomorrow morning.    I'm going o chance not watering the tubs this evening.

22.30    We should wake up to rain in the morning;   much needed wain actually, and I'm not thinking of my flower tubs.   It will be a computer day for me;  and drawing in The Hutte when the sun breaks through!

The News?..... things are settling down a bit with the Labour Party;  the main thing for them now is the

Makerfield, by- election.    The Labour Party has to win there, but Reform (Nigel Farage) will also be working hard to win!    There could be some interesting electioneering over the next few weeks!    And we might get to know Makerfield.
