Nice morning ....

9th May 2026 (Saturday)     09.45 .... We have a cloudy sky with light drizzle now and again. and a

moderate, cold, Northeasterly wind.   However there's a low pollen count so as far as I'm concerned it's a lovely morning:   And, we should have sunny spells by morning coffee time (11.00).    Me? .... I'm staying in and warm;  waiting for the sun to break through and warm up the Hutte, so that I can go out to 'work'.

16.30   I've been a busy boy today.    The cloud broke up around lunch time so I went out to the Hutte to 'work'.    However it wasn't warm enough so I came back in and ended up 'playing' with the new Hoover.   I wanted to try out the accessories!     The first thing I did was read the 'rools'.    That was a mistake, because the graphics missed out some of the bits I wanted to look at.   "Forget the 'rools' , says Alberto to himself, "take the 'hit or miss' approach;  that never fails"!    Eventually I got the necessary bits all joined together;  with the crevice accessory on the end.   From then on it was a dawdle;  I just needed a 'crevice' to 'sook' stuff from.    Having 'sooked' the stoor from a few corners in my bedroom, I can now say that the new hoover works fine.

By the time I'd finished 'playing'  with the hoover, the sun had broken through and warmed up The Hutte, so I was able to do some real work.   I did two Soduko's and a bit of drawing.   I'm a reasonably happy boy now!    I will now browse the Archive for a few photographs to play with tonight:  although sunny it's far too cold, for mr  to go out with the camera.

20.30    The local elections are done for another 4 years.   The rise of Reform, and the possibility that they could form the next UK Government ....  an ultra Right wing government in the UK?   That is scary!

I'm looking out at a bonnie evening;  but it's bitterly cold one, so I'm not going to go out  to enjoy the 'bonnie evening'.    There's a cold Northeast wind at present, but it is to be from the Westerly direction  tomorrow morning.  It will still be cold but, but, hopefully, healthier.   The weather forecast mentions frost in the Highlands.

I haven't a 'plan' for tomorrow;  it all depends on the weather and how cold it is.   I'll make my mind up

in the morning.   I have to go to Methil Library on Tuesday to have my hearing aids cleaned:  hopefully the weather will be warmer by then.

Today's photies (taken in 2012):  Top - the Victorian Folly atop Balcarres Crag, Middle - 'JB' stopping the tide, and Bottom - Balcarres Sawmill pond.
