sunny spells is the weather forecast.   I have shower towels going through the machine at the moment;  I counting on the light showers being really light or, hopefully, non existent!     I haven't been outside yet but it looks like it will be warm when out of the wind and the clouds are somewhere else!

20.30     Most of today we've had lovely, warm, sunshine;  but it has clouded over in the last couple of hours.    We had some gig shower clouds, but the showers missed us, and, when I got back fro Leven the washing was bone dry.   After an early morning coffee, I decided to go to Methil to visit Alice, then do some shopping when along there.   That is what we did after a cuppa at Alice HQ.    Alice reminded me that the cleaning up of the River Leven was on 'Countryfile' (BBC2) at 18.15.

We did our we bit of shopping, and went back to Alice's to have a light lunch and an early afternoon coffee.,,before I bumbled my way back home.    I got back to Ivy, I went through my normal routine of putting the messages away, and putting the kettle 'on' to make  a cuppa.   Sat down to catch up with the News and woke up 45 minutes later and put the cuppa through the microwave.

The News? .....A lot has happened since Wes Streeting resigned from the Cabinet, to give Sir Keir Starmer, the present Prime Minister, the 'Black Spot': and force a Leadership Election.    It appears that Andy Burnham is the backbench MP's favourite to be the Saviour of the Labour Party;  in fact Andy Burnham himself said, that the he was going to "save the Labour Party".  He of course has to become an MP first, and to do that he has to win the Makerfield by-election;  to be held, probably, on the 18th June.

A Leadership election hasn't actually been triggered yet, but it looks like the backbench MP's  want

one.   I still think that they should let the Leader that won them the huge majority in 2024, and his Team get on with the job.  A change in Leadership would be a big mistake for the Labour Party... and the Country.  Nigel Farage could be laughing his way into No 10!
