Nice morning ....

2nd May 2026 (Saturday)      09.15 .... It's a lovely sunny morning, with a light breeze form the

Westerly direction just now but backing to the Easterly direction by in the afternoon;   light showers are mentioned in the weather forecast for KY9.   I haven't a 'plan' for today;  if the roads are quiet later I might get 'the Buggy out;  I say later, because Ferry Road is busy just now.    It's 'early morning coffee' time!

15.00    I've had a reasonably busy morning in The Hutte;  the roads were, and are,  too busy for me to take 'The Buggy' out .   We've had a nice sunny day s far, but the sky is clouding  over over, and we have the chance of showers in the late afternoon/ evening time.

I that Jewish people suffered from so much hatred.   They are actually frightened to go 'walking' like we do;  that shouldn't happen in the UK, or anywhere for that matter.   I'm sure that it hasn't always been like this for Jewish people in the UK.  There has been a big increase in Antisemitism (all round the World), with the way the Israeli Government has responded to the evil attack, by Hamas terrorists, on October 7th  2022.   Too many women and children have been 'collateral  damage'  in the demolition of Gaza:  But that has very little, if anything, to do with the Jewish Community in the UK.   

There's far too much hatred in the World today;  and politicians, of all parties, should be doing more to remove hatred from politics.  For instance I see on the News that the politicians are considering banning 'pro Palestinian' marches:   That would be wrong;  By all means get rid of the people that turn up to the marches to stir up trouble, we have no use for hatred speeches in the UK;  but don't stop the right to have protest marches.   Yes there is a huge difference in the numbers that turn up at the different marches;  but that's people voting with their feet!    The Labour Party might find out more about that, on Thursday 7th May.   That's democracy at work!   I want the Jewish people to be able to walk about freely as I do:   in fact everyone in the UK should be able to go out without feeling afraid!    
The long term cure for Antisemitism lies in the Middle East;  coming to some Agreement to live peacefully with each other!

20.15    I've had a thundery headache all afternoon, but it's going away now.    There must have been
thunder somewhere.   I've just remembered;  I can look up the Lightning App in Fife Weather!    I put the kettle 'on' before I came through to the computer, so I'll make a cuppa, then check the |Fife Weather site.
That's better; now, what was I going to do?.... check for thunderstorms .   Yes there are storms in the SE corner of England, and on the Continent (Europe);   with storms building in Ireland.   That has been the problem this afternoon.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.

Windy and wet .....

4th August 2025 (Monday)    08.45 ....  It's breezy with light rain just now;  but the rain is going to move away and the wind freshen to 'gale', with sunny intervals and squally showers, by midday.   There could interesting clouds, and stormy seas.    I won't be going out on the bike!    High tide is at 11.20;  there will be an abundance of fresh air on the beach today.  11.00  The wind is freshening, from the SW, as can be seen in the photo of the 'Glenfuir' flags (Swiss, USA and Jersey).    Sunny intervals are starting to come over, so it's a bonnie enough day now, albeit breezy:  F5 - 6 with stronger gusts now and again. 19.30  It has certainly been a wild old day, but the wind is moderating, and tomorrow will be much quieter.   It was F8 - 9 at times out on the bay.   Which is why HMS Iron Duke (Type 23 frigate) is sheltering off Elie and Earlsferry.      HMS Iro...
