Sleet .....

9th January 2026 (Friday)     11.00 .... I've been busy this morning;  including waggling my legs

about during 'Rise and Shine' (BBC).    That's a positive way to begin the day;   especially a dreich day like we have this morning in Elie and Earlsferry..

We have folk in our villages   (Elie and Earlsferry) that organise different activities for the Community;  Earlsferry is a happy place to live.... aye even for an old sod like me.   My 'positive' activity is taking photographs to 'play' with in the evening.    Strange thing is, even on a wet day like we have today, I get a load of pleasure from the photographs I take;  even the ones taken through a wet windscreen.

I had to go up to Elie to and hand in my prescription .... it was raining at the time so I completely forgot about the paper;  I was needing a 'comfort' break!   I blame the weather.   I'm off to have morning coffee then catch up with the News.... and see what the weather is going to do in the afternoon;  and tomorrow.    The sky is showing signs of brightening up just now.

16.00    Today's photies were taken at Elie this morning;  as you can see it was raining.   Since then the sky brightened up, but we had a couple of light showers;   I'd call it a reasonable afternoon, for this time of year.   It certainly has been quieter than it was 'down South' last night,  and this morning.  My word, it was wild at times!    I've only been to the front, and back doors of Ivy this afternoon;  to feed two 'Blob's' (Robins).   One lives in the hedge at the other side of Ferry Road, the other in Maggie's ivy 'bush' in the back garden.   They don't like each other!   The older one regards Ivy garden (and half of 'The Ferry') as his!

22.00     We had another spell of heavy rain in the early evening, but it's dry just now.    Tomorrow is going to be sunnier with a gentle Southerly breeze.    I've had my bedtime Horlicks now it's time for bed and my book.
