Dreich ....

11th January 2026 (Sunday)     11.00 ..... It'a a grey, wet and breezy, morning;  and is forecast to

be wet most of the day.  I've been for a short run, up to Chapel Green, in the car;  and was surprised to see a number of folk out walking;   most walking the dog!    Funnily enough, I  used to enjoy walking in the rain...  as long as it wasn't too windy.

I have the feeling that today might be a research day on the computer;  with the odd bit o' ousework.  It's morrrrrrrning coffee time right now!

16.15    It hasn't been the bonniest of days, as far as the weather went, but the rain did stop for a while around midday.

I spent my day watching the snooker and researching in the Alberto Archive.   I had a busy but not 'iggzactly' active day.   However it has been interesting looking back at the 'good old days'.     I'm away to organise something for dinner;  I'm hungry!

20.30    I've had a lazy day;  basically staying in because of the weather.   I put the 'broon' bin out and noticed  the wind had freshened;  and that it was raining.    Iain has just told me that Jackie's Dad has died.   That saddens me.  John had been health problems for a while: it still breaks the heart when a loved one dies.  Iain and Jackie will be going to the funeral.   I'm thinking of  Pauline, Sue, Jackie, 'Uncle Steve'.... and the wider family at this sad time.

The weather will dictate what I do tomorrow:  the good news is, that tomorrow's weather is going to be "sunny intervals with a moderate SW wind".... and it's to be warmer!

22.15    There's fair old sea running;  I can hear it, even with my hearing!
