Nice morrrrrrrrrning ....
10th January 2025 (Saturday) 09.45 .... It's a nice morning; quite a lot of cloud, and light
rain with a moderate breeze is the forecast, but just now we have a bonnie start to the weekend. The light rain might come over in the middle of the day. I'm going to Kirsty's house (Wadeslea) to show her how to use the wallpaper stripper. Must 'go'; slight 'Flap On' this morning!20.00 The mission, to show Kirsty how to use the steam stripper, was successful, and should make the removal of the old wallpaper much easier. It was great stepping back to the 'good old days' and doing a wee bit of real work. I didn't do much, but it let Kirsty see how much easier it is with the stripper.
The light rain we were expecting has yet to arrive; but the cold, raw wind that you get before rain moves in has been with us most of the day; it has freshened a bit and is bitterly cold out now. I was oot at the bin. Mind you I am in my 'loungers' so perhaps going out to the bin was never going to be anything but cauld!
I have done a decent amount of 'ousework today; I'll sleep well tonight. I sleep well every night; and a lot of daytime as well!
Wadeslea - Elie.
It's good to see the Ferry busy at this time of year: I went up to Chapel Green in the car and there was a lot of people out walking. All of the well wrapped up against the bitter wind. I didn't stop to take any photographs. From Chapel Green I went up to Kinneuchar but even there I didn't bother getting the camera out; the roads were busy. Actually that surprised me because the Kinneuchar road is normally quiet.
I've just had a look at the weather for tomorrow and the 'light rain is going to move in overnight. There's a good chance of it being, wet now and again, tomorrow. The good news, as far as the weather goes? .... it's going to start getting warmer on Monday!
