Cloudy .....

29th January 2026 (Thursday)     09.15 .....  It's cloudy, with occasional light showers, and a

frisky breeze this morning;  the thermometer was reading 5.5C half an hour ago so it feels cold out in the open.   We had a shower when I was feeding 'Blob'.    'Drizzle' is mentioned in the weather forecast.    The Fife Weather cans all show a grey sky:  although the Kinghorn one had a broken sky with a 'sunny spell'!  'Sunny spells'?   We might get lucky.

16.45   I got to Leven this morning to find the town bathed in sunshine;  s was Methil when I arrived at Alice's.   At the time, I could see that the the East Neuk was under a layer of heavy cloud.   Mind you;  it was cold, exposed to the brisk wind, in spite of the sun.   We had morning cuppa and caught up with all the Methil 'News':  there wasn't actually very much for Alice to report.

We were going to have lunch at the nearby Wellesley Kirk Community Centre, and, being that I was later than usual arriving at Methil, it wasn't long before we went over there.   We arrived at the Kirk to find the Car Park 'Disabled' spaces already occupied, so I had to park on the street.

Weasel.
The Cafe  was busy, (always a good sign) and we were soon seated and ready for food.   The Waitress took our order:  and we were soon tucking in  .... to Fish n' Chips.   I don't know how they make their chips at Wellesley but they are excellent.   The fish was also excellent, but there's something about the chips.   Anyway we enjoyed lunch, and had a wander round the Charity Shop next door, before going back to Alice HQ for coffee.   I was back home in The Ferry about 14.00.

22.30     My word it's cold tonight;  back to wintry feeling weather.  Tomorrow is going to be another day of mixed weather.    I won'r make a 'plan' until I see  what the weather is doing.    I've enjoyed myself today but this change in the weather is disagreeable.

Today's photies:  Top - taken yesterday;   Bottom - the Weasel was taken in St Margaret's cemetery (Bu (Uckfield).    Just after I took that photo it put it'd front paws on my  foot and had a long look at me.   I 'froze', and couldn't take a photo because, even if I had blinked it would have taken off.    After 10 seconds or so it decided that I was not a threat, and continued hunting;  probably for voles.
