Nice morning ....

20th January 2026 (Tuesday)    09.45 .... There's been some overnight rain, but that had moved

Misty morning.
away,  the sky breaking up to give us sunny spells.   I have a washing going through;  it's a reasonable 'drying day' but light rain is forecast to move in later in the afternoon.    I have to go to the Skeith Centre sometime today, so might drop in to The Store for a wee browse.

19.38     I went to Anstruther (Skeith Centre);  and 'The Store' int eh morning.   That took longer than intended because I had a good browse in 'The Store'.     It was busy;  with elderly people out in force.   Progress round the aisles was reasonably steady:  I had to wait a couple o times while someone made up their mind which was the 'best buy', but I wasn't in a hurry.   I never see anyone in'The Store' that I know;  apart from the checkout lassies.

I came home by way of Kellie Castle;  and Colinsburgh to fuel up the car.   Gareth had been at something in the Colinsburgh Toon Hall, was waiting for a bus, so I gave him lift home.   (That reminds me that it's the Colinsburgh Lunch tomorrow, and that Myra is picking me up at 12.30).   I was back home at 12.50, put the messages away then had lunch.

Angry sky at sunset!
Unlike the morning, my afternoon was 'restful';  I watched "Foyle's War" ... and didn't fall asleep!   It's set in 'sunny Sussex' and sometimes the 'action' is in Hastings .... or some of the other Sussex towns.   Today's episode was set, mostly, in the Sussex countryside.

22.30    I don't have a 'plan' for Wednesday;  but I will watch President doing his 'speech' at Davos.    (I hope it's better than the briefing from the Oval Office today).    It will be interesting to hear what he says about Greenland.
