Sunny and warm ....

11th July 2025 (Friday)    09.00 .... It's beautiful morning;  sunny and warm with only a light

breeze:  the villages will be busy, especially the beach, and the golf course.   I haven't been anywhere, but might have a wander down to Nana's Seat in a wee while, for some exercise.  It's 17.7C  just now, so the afternoon will be hot.   I'm at the Skeith Centre in the afternoon;  it will be a 'there and back' mission, no run to Crail, or anything like that, in the heat.

11.30    I've been down to the beach, but my word, it's hot;  23.4C at present.   It's perfect day for holiday makers, and day trippers enjoying the beach .... and the water.   The hardest thing might be finding somewhere to 'moor the car'.

The beach was fairly busy when I was down there (early morning).   My first stop was The Blue Tits seat! It was already too hot for me, even with a bottle of water, so I  wandered along and eventually reached Jenny and Johns seat.    I finished the water and made my way back to Ivy.... and an ice cream cone!

19.30    It has been  a proper summer's day;  a few more like this and all the winter ailments will have gone.    I went to the Skeith Centre as per 'plan', and didn't have to wait long before I was taken;  and was out within 15 minutes.   It was too hot to go for a run home via the 'back roads':  and it was too hot for me being out in the afternoon.  Driving through Elie on busy day was the usual 'obstacle course', especially Bank Street to Golf Club Lane.  That said, it's good that the East Neuk is getting it's share of holiday makers, but there is a definite 'parking problem in all the East Neuk  villages in the busy summer season.

The garden thermometer reached 25.2C this afternoon;  that would be uncomfortably hot.   It's 21.7C at the moment.   Saturday is going to be hot;  but "hazy" is mentioned for the middle of the day;  that's different.   'Haze' is fine .... but we don't want haar.

22.15    I've had a busy day and now ready for bed.   I'm going to visit Alice tomorrow and have a quiet
South end of of 'Cross Wynd'.
restful day .   'Eton Mess' is on the menu!

The villages are busy.... as are all the East Neuk villages.   I met a lady in the waiting room at the Skeith Centre and she told me that Crail (where she lives) was extremely busy.
