Nice morning ....

24th July 2024 (Thursday)    09.30 .... It's nice quiet morning;  there is some cloud just now and a

low chance of light showers, but the forecast is "sunny intervals with a moderate Westerly breeze".   It will be warm in the afternoon.   I have the Mobility Scooter shelter being delivered sometime today:  the driver will phone an hour before he arrives at Ivy (when he leaves the previous delivery presumably).   Until I get that phone call all I know is, that it's being delivered today.  

The delivery man arrived with the bits that make up the scooter shed at 16.30. then set off for his last delivery of the day in Dundee.   He had to turn back at Largoward because he'd forgotten to leave the roof section.   We never noticed because it was all in bits.   Anyway it's here, and parts of it already painted 'Forest Green'.    It's not big, but the scooter will fit in it comfortably.

Janice and Michael went shopping and filled up the fridge with;  all kinds of things I'd forgotten existed.  We had Kentucky Fried chicken chicken, and other chicken, bits with for dinner;  brilliant taste that I haven't had;  probably since Michael and Janice were last here.    The 'mince and tautties' I'm making tomorrow will taste bland!  

Michael and Janice did most of the food shopping in the M & S Food Hall at Chapel Level (Kirkcaldy).  There's an M & S Food Hall in St Andrews I must go there now and again. 

It has been a lovely sunny  and warm day.    Actually it turned cooler in the evening when cloud drifted over.   In fact it looked like we might get a shower, but we didn't, and the aforementioned cloud drifted away to leave us with a nice evening, but it is slightly cooler.

I thought  you'd like to see Michael in action (this is not 'fake new') this afternoon.   He suits the apron!  The forecast is good for tomorrow so we should get the bits painted that we need to paint before putting it all together.

6th October 2024 (Sunday)    "Happy Golden Wedding Anniversary"  to Brian and Moira". 09.00 .... Nice morning ....

16th August 2024 (Friday)  08.30 ...It's a lovely morning but a layer of thin cloud is taking the Jackie. edge off the temperature so we have a chilly start to the day;  hopefully the sun will burn off the cloud to give us a sunny and warm(er) day soon.    The Auchnagatt 'troops' are expected to arrive about 10.30:  and I am organised .... and looking forward to seeing Jackie, Hazel, Catriona and Iain in one photograph.... a rare occurrence nowadays!  20.30 .... I got the photograph that I wanted... all four (soon to be five) of the Lawrie Family of 'Backhill of Inkhorn' (Auchnagatt) in one place!   It has been a most enjoyable day.  We had lunch at the very popular Cupar Garden Centre Restaurant (it was busy) followed by a browse round the garden centre:  the 'troops' did proper browsing:  I had quick browse followed by a catnap in the car.   The middle of the afternoon is my siesta time; and especially so after a good l...

Lovely, fresh morning ....

6th August 2024 (Tuesday)    10.30 .... it's a beautiful morning, with a nice fresh breeze.... if only I Aldershot 1958. could go out on the bike!   Anyway... forget dreamin';  today is my appointment with the Consultant, at Queen Margaret Hospital (Dunfermline);.... and I'm hoping to find out what the 'plan' is.   Michael and Janice are out in the car.... shopping.   They should be back in about an hour or so.    I've tidied up the kitchen and will now have a cuppa while watching some of the action from Paris.  22.00    This is more like summer.... in fact I could get to like this weather.      Michael and Janice went up to Cupar in the morning, while I got myself organized  for the Queen Margaret appointment.   Michael and Janice arrived back with lunch, Fisher and Donaldson macaroni pies, with FD's for sweet.   We set off for Dunfermline in plenty of time and arrived with t...
