Light cloud with drizzle .....
23rd July 2025 (Wednesday) 08.00 .... It's not a good drying day; the sky is cloudy with drizzle
blowing in a light breeze. That said .... it's a nice quiet morning and the pollen count is low. Unfortunately the pollution level will be 'M'. 'Me'? ..... I'm a "happy boy" because I did all the washing yesterday.... and we will have sunny spells in the afternoon! "Light cloud with light winds" is the KY9 weather forecast; the same as London! It's breakfast time; after which, I'll finish off Michael and Janice's room.Leven Station
09.00 I've had a migraine which is a bit o' a bummer, but I've taken the pills and having another cuppa before I wrestle with the downie. Although damp it's a nice morning; and the sky shows signs of brightening up now and again, but the Fife Weather cams are all showing 'misty'. Must 'go' slight "Flap On" this morrrrrrrrrning.
22.00 'The Boy' (that's me) has been busy today. Michael and Janice arrived at Leven Station (bang on time) off the 17.15 train. They were an hour later than originally planned because of a hold up on the line into London ....from Uckfield in Sunny Sussex. Apart from that, the journey was uneventful.
Prior to going to Leven to meet them off the train I had sorted out their bedroom.... and made up the bed. And I did inserted the downie intae it's cover without havin' tae crawl aboot inside the cover. Us 'mature' people have to learn to adapt and I have done that wi' the downie. The downie is the worst part of making up the bed.
Janice and Michael are away for a walk 'roond the villages'. A wee while ago the door bell rang: it was Ethel and Doug plus some of their family who arrived in Elie and Earlsferry today. They didn't come in as they were on their way 'home' (the Toft) from having food at the 19th Hole. I don't know if they will 'bump' into Michael and Janice, who will most likely end up at 'The Ship Inn'.
As most of you will know I don't enjoy driving with the roads being so busy. Anyway today I was on my
way to Leven, coming up to the blind corner just East of Upper Largo when a someone, in a VW, came tearing up and overtook me, just as a van came round the corner, he cut in in front of me, I braked and the numpty got in, just averting one serious accident. Not only did he do that; he did the same with the next car, just as as he was going into Upper Largo. I got the feeling he was in a hurry. He was two cars in front of me when we got to Scoonie roundabout.
