Overcast and damp ....
4th July 2025 (Friday) "Happy 249th birthday celebrations" to all my friends in the USA on Independence Day. Apart from Independence; from where I'm sitting it doesn't look like you have very much to celebrate just now, but things will get better.
08.00 This morrrrrrrrning we have an overcast sky, with light drizzle now and again; in fact the weather
forecast is "strong winds (SW) with drizzle". The strongest winds will be in the afternoon, and it will feel cool. At the moment the drizzle is very light and intermittent. A much better forecast than the original original one was. I'm a Happy 'boy'.I'm going to Methil to visit Alice, who needs annoying, (I'm good at that) and we'll probably do some shopping. At the moment it's cuppa time.
20.15 It has been a grey old day but, thankfully, we only had a few spits and spots o' rain now and again. The wind certainly freshened, so it was cooler.
I went to Methil and annoyed Alice, we had a cuppa and a blether, then went to Sainsbury's. My word Sainsbury's was busy this morning; all the checkouts were, but it didn't take long to go through. We were back at Alice's HQ in 'nae time'. Alice surpassed all previous 'Alice Concoctions' at lunchtime today. It was absolutely scrumptious. I can't give you the recipe because it is Top Secret; and Sainsbury's would be sold out of the 'Top Secret' ingredients! I only needed a sandwich for dinner!
Back at Ivy I put the messages away and settled down (with a cuppa) to watch the tennis. As usual I fell
asleep. When I woke up I didn't recognise the players; the match I'd been watching had finished, and I was watching the next one. And, my tea was cauld.
