Nice morning ....
8th July 2025 (Tuesday) 08.45 .... After that rain thundery rain yesterday (thunder at Methil) we
have a sunny morning, with a fresh feel to the air; it felt quite autumnal when I first went out at 07.00). According to Carole we are going to have a spell of warm and dry dry weather.... so forget the early morning autumnal air.... summer is coming . unfortunately for me... my morning began with a migraine; another sign that summer is coming.16.00 Iain arrived about 14.30 .... and we've had a cuppa and blether. Iain is now going for a walk to the cliffs, to see if the Scotch Argus butterfly is 'in residence'.
Before setting off for the cliffs we made an online payment to HMRC. A small amount of money that I 'owed' them.
Surprisingly, I've been a busy 'boy' today in spite of the migraine. I went up to Colinsburgh to deliver a 'Sympathy' card to Eileen, the girls and 'the Troops', Chelsea, Kris and Greg. The girls are coping as well as can be expected in the circumstances . Bereavement has to run it's course, with good days and bad days..... the 'good' days do win, eventually: thanks to loving family and neighbours. Tomorrow we have Derek's Celebration of Life Service at Brewesterwells. It will obviously be a sad day, but, we are thankful that Derek was with us for 14 years after he had his bypass operation.
I have also done 'computer work'; HMRC as already mentioned, plus insuring the Mobility Scooter. (It came with one months 'free' insurance).
