Bright and breezy morning ....

5th July 2025 (Saturday)      "Happy Heavenly birthday" to Maggie, who would have been

84 today xx..   (This might be an  'ooverin' and dustin' day).   The 'plan' is to have morning coffee up at Chapel Green, if the weather amenable.

08.00 ....It's a bright and breezy morning with the chance of light showers in the afternoon.   It's a good drying day so I have a washing in the machine.   I've been out and it actually feels chilly exposed to the brisk SW breeze.   "Strong winds with light cloud" is forecast for KY9.

09.00    The washing is on the line, and should dry fairly rapidly in this frolicsome wind, but some of the clouds look like they could produce light showers.   'We' don't want 'light showers.   In fact we don't want any showers!

19.30    It has been a nice day albeit breezy.   Although breezy the air warmed up later in the morning and it was pleasantly warm in spite of the wind.   I had a walk up to the Thistle and got a few golfer photographs;  then came home by way of Rotten Row.   I contemplated going to the beach but thought that it was too windy.   Anne had been walking 'Scooter' (dog) on the beach and said it was "warm but awfie windy".

Being Maggie's birthday I did some 'ousework (guilty conscience?), brought in the washing and ironed the articles that had to be  ironed:  (definitely a guilty conscience!).   I contemplated going 'roond The Ferry' on the Mobility Scooter, but Ferry Road was too busy.  I forgot that this is the start of the Summer holiday season!   I ate something.

20.30    This has been a funny old day for me;  had I been a dog I'd have spent the day 'chasing my tail'.   And tomorrow's weather forecast isn't 'iggzactly' cheerful, with thundery showers around the middle part of the day.   But we could be lucky..... thundery showers usually mean thunder clouds, so tomorrow's weather could be interesting.   And I was thinking it was going to be wet and boring!

The flooding in Texas, is horrifying news:  my thoughts and prayers are with all who have lost loved
ones and everyone affected by this disaster.   It's amazing just how fast the river rose, and caught everyone by surprise..... that is  really frightening!

No 'plan' for tomorrow;  it all depends on what the weather is doing.   At the moment the sky is beginning to cloud over, bringing the light rain we are going to have overnight to water my flooer tubs!   I'm a 'happy boy'.
