Cloudy ....

10th September 2026 (Thursday)     09.30 .....It's cloudy, with a frisky Westerly breeze just
now;  but rain is forecast to drift over after midday.    Not a washing day.   I'll be ready to go to Leven  after I have another cuppa, to do some shopping before the weekend.  

15.30    As with most shopping trips there isn't really very much to report;   there did seem to be lot of dithering shoppers in Sainsbury's, but that is probably caused by people wanting the best value for their money.   Everything is much more expensive nowadays!... and that is all over the World... aye... even in the USA!.    Why? .... mostly caused by the disastrous policies of President Trump.   Hey.... I enjoyed that mini moan.    

The shopping didn't take long,  and we were back at the Alice HQ, well ready for lunch;  and sorting out the 'World' at the same time!   After lunch coffee followed that, before I set of home;  dropping Alice off at Leven on the way.    Light rain started to hit the cat windscreen just after I dropped Alice off;  and it has been with us ever since.   However, the rain should fade away in the evening;  the Kinghorn Weather Cam is already showing promising signs.  

20.30     We've just had a really bonnie spell of sunshine;  I thought about going out for a run in the car, but the sun disappeared behind the clouds putting an end to that 'plan'.    Anyway it's going to be  sunny tomorrow with a moderate Westerly breeze so I might go out somewhere tomorrow.

Roses have been bonnie this year;  they're bonnie every year but they seem to be enjoying the early Autumn weather, and are bursting into flower again    The's in spite of being neglected.    


I've had a restful day;  and I needed that after the 'flap' I got into yesterday with that "I've got loads o' time I'll have a cuppa!"    I do some stupid things and that was definitely one of them!   Anyway I'm glad I was in time to attend Joyce's Celebration of Life Service!    

Tomorrow I'll make up Michael's bed;  I'm hoping to be a bit more active tomorrow.    Michael arrives
on Saturday!    And 'JB' is coming up sometime in October;  dates still to be finalised.

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Dreich ....

1st November 2019 (Friday)       07.00 .... Mmmmm ... it’s cauld and wet Mmmmm .... not the perfect weather for the beach. as per weather forecast;   a real dreich morning.      I am feeling considerably brighter than the weather and looking forward to morning coffee in ‘arbour ‘ouse..... then spending the rest of the day mostly working on the computer, and doing Soduko’s.    I might bake Melting Moments..... baking and sampling 'MM's is always a cheering occupation on a dreich day. 09.00    The sky to the West is showing promising changes in greyness;   could we be in for a few bright spells?    “Light rain showers and a gentle breeze” is the forecast for today.... but a bright spell would be very welcome.    I haven’t been anywhere further than the pavement when manoeuvring the bucket into its ‘ready for emptying’ position.   I’ll have another cuppa then ‘loup’ into the car an...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.
