Breaking cloud .....

Photo taken on 21st June by Michael.

27th June 2026 (Saturday)     10.00 .... We have light cloud with blue patches;  blue patches='sunny spells'.   There's a light Southwesterly breeze, and the pollen count is 'high'':  a nice day, but it will be uncomfortably warm  (for me anyway) in the middle of the day.   I'm going to have another cuppa then go up to the shops.    Got my prescription to pick up.

Thank goodness I have the cooling fan;  I woke up all hot and uncomfortable at 02.00;  had a drink of water, the switched the fan on 'Low', started a Soduko and fell asleep about 20 minutes later and woke up at 07.00.   During this hot spell the fan has certainly done it's job!   "Thank You Michael and Janice"!

13.15    I've been up to Elie to pick up my prescription and bits and pieces from the paper shop'.    Elie was busy, with Park Place lined with cars on both sides.   I didn't go down to the harbour;  this is the start of the busy season sown there.   Unfortunately I was on my way home when I noticed that the Church Bookstall was operating at the kirk gate;  I'd have gone over to annoy Gareth;  and probably buy a couple of books!

It has been another nice day,  but it has been hot and humid, so I stay in.  Today I did the ironing, and some light 'ousework.   After a late lunch I had a cat-nap, and woke up in need of a cuppa.   Cuppa made, biscuit in pocket, I went up to The Hutte to enjoy  a relaxing cuppa and do a Soduko.

We have England v Panama in the World Cup later tonight.   And it looks like Scotland will be coming home:  the results of other games will decide Scotland's fate.   Anyway, the England v Panama game is on at 22.00.

22.30    I've been watching the England game, at the moment it's still 0 - 0, but I imagine England should win.   England have qualified for the knock out part of the World Cup anyway.   I'm tired tonight and off to bed.

No plan for tomorrow;  it depends on how I'm feeling in the morning.    I think the weather tomorrow is

going to be 'more of the same',  but it might be cooler in the evening.

Today's photographs:  Top - The damaged sea wall at Chapel Green House.  More rocks have been added to the temporary 'defence'.    Photograph taken by Michael on 21st June.               Middle and Bottom - Elie High Street this morning.
