Light rain ....

1st June 2026 (Monday)     10.00 .... we have, much needed, light rain this morning;  in fact we

will have spells of rain  most days this week.  Light rain = low pollen count;  so a bit of relief for folk bothered by hay fever.    However, light rain also means it's not a good 'drying day!    Me? .... I want to go down to Ferry Corner to take a picture of the  road works signage!

20.30    The light rain slowly faded away and we had a nice  afternoon... a mix of cloud and sunny spells, with spits and  spots of rain  now and again.   A nice enough afternoon, that, near enough, dried the washing I put out.

As you can see from today's photographs I got as far as Ferry Corner, to get the 'Road Closed' (except for residents) sign etc.  All other traffic is being diverted along Links Road;  and two way traffic on the Earlsferry one way system.

What have I done today?    I started the morning with a hot shower to ease tired muscles;  that worked well enough on the muscles;  but I was tired by 13.00 so went to The Hutte, did a Soduko, then went into 'rest mode'.    When I woke up, it was out of a dream;  Jimmy and I were out on 'Rum Rig' (Jimmy's yacht).   I came back to earth with a bang, when I heard the Blackie givin' it laldie from the top of Balvonie lum.    He's a bonnie whistler is our local Blackie.   I set up another Soduko, then made an afternoon coffee to get myself into gear.

I've been looking at  the weather forecast for the next few days;  none of them look like being good drying days.    That has upset my 'work plan', which was  to wash the other set of bedding (weather permitting) so that it's ready for the next bed change.   Thundery showers are forecast for the next few days;  and showers can miss us.   I'm a happy boy again.
