Windy and wet .....

29th March 2026 (Sunday)     09.30 .... It's windy (F4 Westerly) and wet just now, but there should

be sunny spells in the afternoon.    This means that I will clean the inside of the Hutte windows in the morning, and the outsides in the afternoon.   That is the work 'plan' for today:  that, and doing some light housework.

To have 'The Hutte' back as a place to relax and think;  (even fall asleep) is fantastic.     I intended having morning coffee out there today;  but that has been put on hold.   Iain and Jackie are on their way home, so I'm going to have another cuppa, that make start on cleaning the windows.

16.45    'The Hutte' windows have been cleaned;  in fact they are so clean that,  if it wasn't for the reflections, you wouldn't know there was glass there at all.   Anyway, that's the windows cleaned, and and The Hutte fully operational.    I shall make use of it tomorrow as Monday is going to be a 'rest' day.    It's strange, but I'm even more tired today, than I was yesterday;  which is surprising considering the amount of work I did yesterday!

The weather has been a mix of sunshine and showers in the afternoon;  but the showers never lasted long, so I made afternoon coffee, and listened to the wireless(in The Hutte).    I have one thing to do out there.... and that is!.... put a new battery in the clock!   I'll do it now.

21.45     I've been going through the box of post cards that Iain and Jackie came across in 'The Hutte':   browsing old postcards  is fascinating"   So far in one box I've found a mini mailbag with 'Twelve Snapshots of SYDNEY', with an address card attached.    That in itself is interesting but it is address card that is really interesting, being addressed to 'Selina Villa', Earlsferry, Elie, Scotland.     'Selina Villa' is now called 'Balvonie' and is next door to Ivy.   Chrissie and Margaret Dunsire went on a 'Round the World' cruise in 1934.   The mailbag (canvas envelope) was addressed to  Irene Dunsire., and could be sent to anywhere in the World for 1d!   Although addressed etc. it wasn't posted.   Another thing I've found is an unused Official Mail letter, used at the Scottish Trade Exhibition in .... 1938!   I might take the box out to 'the Hutte' to do the browsing tomorrow.   That would be a nice, relaxing, 'rest day'!

'Sunny intervals with a fresh Westerly breeze'  is forecast for KY9 tomorrow;  that will be perfect
weather to be browsing postcards out in 'The Hutte!    I can take short spells of 'time out' to make the odd cuppa.
Today's photies:  Top - the clean windows'    Middle - looking out through the clean windows,... and Bottom - 'Hermione'.
