Nice morning ....

20th March 2026 (Friday)    09.45 .... The sun is burning off the early morning fog and we

should have  lovely, peaceful, sunny and warm day ahead.    I'll get 'The Buggy' out in the afternoon, if the roads aren't busy.   It's not the best kind of ;drying day' but I might do a washing;  KY9 could be warm later.   'Blob' was twittering happily this morning;  it could be that he is 'in love'.   Spring is definitely in the air.   That said it is March, and the weather can be varied;  even snow, as in 1947!   Off to do some 'work'!   After I put the kettle 'on'.

16.15    This has been a beautiful Spring day;  sunny and warm, with only a light breeze.     I actually did 'work' things this morning:  the single bed has been stripped and the bedding.   A bit more breeze would have been better for drying the bedding, but I'll iron it later and hang it in front of a radiator.   It should be fine for making the bed tomorrow.

With the weather being warm and sunny, I decided to go out on 'The Buggy' after lunch.    I only went up to Chapel green then back to the phone box on Ferry Road where I turned left and went as far as the Green-keepers Workplace entrance.   Sometime I shall go all the way to the junction with the A 917;  and if I'm feeling really brave.... all the way to Kinneuchar .... maybe!

20.00    I've enjoyed being active today.... including the 'work' bit.   The work bit isn't finished yet;  I still have the ironing to do.    I'll do that after this update.   I suspect that I might have done too much today, and tomorrow will be a 'rest day'.

The weather forecast for tomorrow is excellent;  "sunny with light winds", but slightly cooler than
today.    The patio thermometer reached 15.4C this afternoon.   I should have checked the temperature on 'The Buggy' thermometer when I was  'out in the open' at Chapel Green.   I keep forgetting that it has one!   One thing I do know it has is a 'beeper'.  It activates when I use the indicators or go into reverse:  I don't need the hearing aids to hear the 'beeper'.   The hearings aids are brilliant;  I wish I had got them sooner.   Having said that;  I haven't quite got used to the direction thing.    Yesterday in the paper shop I heard Ian's voice, but thought it seemed to be coming from John.   Ian was behind me, and John in front.    That mixes the auld brain up a bit!   The lassie who fitted me up with the hearing aids said  that a situation such as that could be awkward.
