Light cloud ....

1st March 2026 (Sunday)     St David's Day.

10.30 .... We have a cloudy sky with light rain just now, but there's only a light breeze, so  it's not that bad

a morning.    I haven't been further than the gate, but might go out in the car later.  I fancy getting 'The Buggy' out but win't do that when it's raining;   Alice is down with a bug so I won't be going to Leven and Methil.    I'll going to have morning coffee now;  and come up with a 'plan of action'. 

18.45    What have I been doing today?    Well I've kept up with the 'News';  and have reached the conclusion that there can't be many people in who'd want to be the new 'Supreme Leader' of Iran'.  

The former 'Supreme Leader',  Ayatollah Khamenie, was a bad person;  anyone who is prepared to allow thousands of 'His' country's citizens be murdered, because they disagree with the regime in Power,  deserves to be 'removed'!     A 'new' Supreme Leader will have to choose his 'friends' wisely, and embrace democracy, if he fancies the job long term!   Anyway the War to bring Peace to the Middle east has begun;  let's hope it ends quickly, and does bring Peace to that war torn area of Mother earth.

I set off for Crail after lunch, but it started to rain so I changed the 'plan' and went to The Store instead,

where it would be warm and dry!   It was (warm and dry) and I had a great time browsing and even buying vitally needed items.   Well... some of them were!

The rain was heavy when I got back to the car so I came home by the 'coast road' instead of the Kellie Castle route;  where the rain looked really heavy.

22.30   Tomorrow's weather is going to be mixed, so I won't make a plan until I see just how 'mixed' the weather is in the morning.   

It's time to make the Horlicks and have a look at the News;  which is about the ongoing 'war' with Iran.  When I went to bed last night the 'Supreme Leader' was still the 'Supreme Leader'.   By morning time he had been 'removed'.   Modern warfare is fast moving, and widespread.   Imagine if Iran did have nuclear weapons and the ballistic missiles to to deliver them!

7th May 2025 (Wednesday)    08.15 .... "Sunny intervals with a light breeze" is today's weather forecast for.... KY9, Ellon, Uckfield (Sussex) and London:  it's going to be a bonnie day all over the UK.  The breeze is from the Easterly direction so the East coast will be cooler; but it will be warm sheltered from the breeze.   It's a nice, peaceful kind of morning at Elie and Earlsferry:  the sky is a mix of fluffy clouds and blue bits, and the temperature is 11.6C just now.   3.3C was the minimum overnight.  20.30     I'd been reading about the cyber attack on M & S, Harrods and the Co-op... so, feeling inquisitive, for my morning 'mission' I decided to go to The Store (Ainster) and see how the 'attack' was affecting our local 'Store'.   The first thing I noticed was the car park wasn't as busy as normal and all the Disabled spaces were empty.  Inside the store,  the empty vegetable and fruit...

Overcast ....

3rd October 2025 (Friday)     10.30 .... It's a quiet morning; after a lot of overnight rain this is the calm before the storm.... 'Storm Amy', that is going to bring strong winds and heavy rain, this afternoon and Saturday.  It could be a good drying morning!   Anyway all is still at the moment.   I'm going to see if I can rescue a few of the apples that are still attached to the tree.    Actually I think I'll have morning coffee first. 04 12.30    We had a power cut  (45 minutes) last night ,so I unplugged the computer.    We got the torches and candles out, chatted for a while then went to bed.

Windy and wet .....

4th August 2025 (Monday)    08.45 ....  It's breezy with light rain just now;  but the rain is going to move away and the wind freshen to 'gale', with sunny intervals and squally showers, by midday.   There could interesting clouds, and stormy seas.    I won't be going out on the bike!    High tide is at 11.20;  there will be an abundance of fresh air on the beach today.  11.00  The wind is freshening, from the SW, as can be seen in the photo of the 'Glenfuir' flags (Swiss, USA and Jersey).    Sunny intervals are starting to come over, so it's a bonnie enough day now, albeit breezy:  F5 - 6 with stronger gusts now and again. 19.30  It has certainly been a wild old day, but the wind is moderating, and tomorrow will be much quieter.   It was F8 - 9 at times out on the bay.   Which is why HMS Iron Duke (Type 23 frigate) is sheltering off Elie and Earlsferry.      HMS Iro...
