Bright, breezy and cold ....
14th March 2026 (Saturday) 10.45 .... Two blokes om motor bikes went Ferry Road; and I
thought it was cold. The were well wrapped up in motorbike gear, but it isn't wart here m out this morning!.... especially on a motor bike. Me?.... I've had a short walk, from the back door to the patio thermometer (and back). There was a touch of frost last night; down to - 0.9C It was 6.8C when I was out there. I very much doubt if I'll be going far today; but I might make it as far as the car. and have a short run up to Chapel Green later. It's far too cold to get 'The Buggy' out. My word; .The two motorbike have just gone down Ferry Road again... they must be admiring 'The Ferry'... I can understand that! When I think about it; only a year ago I'd have been out on the bike, enjoying the fresh air! That reminds me .... I must charge the bike battery.Today's weather? ..... We have a lovely sunny morning here; it's not as windy as it has been for the past few days, so, not as much windchill, but, even so, it's cold!
14.00 I ventured up to the phone box to get a few 'Today' photographs; I was sheltered from the wind until I crossed Links Road. The wind had moderated so it wasn't as cold as it was earlier. I have the rugby to watch now, Ireland v Scotland. Off to put the kettle and TV 'on'.
16.30 Ireland beat Scotland 43 - 21 in Dublin. It was an exciting enough match but Ireland deserved their win; but Scotland never gave up. Unfortunately neither did Ireland!
France v England in the evening, so that will end what has been a bonnie, but cauld day.
This spell of cauld weather is annoying; but not surprising for early March. It's forecast to turn warmer next week. Until then I'll get some work done on the computer. And maybe even do some ousework. Jackie and Iain are coming down, from Auchnagatt, next weekend. I need a spell of warm, sunny weather to get me going.
I was hoping to go to Methil tomorrow but I can't imagine that happening. I feel 'one degree under', and son't want o spread any 'bug' I might have. I think it's just this cold spell o' weather that's dampened my 'get up and go'.
