Overcast and wet ....

8th October 2025 (Wednesday)     09.45 .... When I was taking photies o' the moon last night, the

Rotten Row - Williamsburgh.
last thing I expected was rain this morning!   I had sunny spells in mind.    However, the forecast for KY9 today is "sunny intervals with a moderate SW breeze".   The rain is already moving away, with the big blue patches where cloud used to be.   Bring on he sunny intervals.    Mind you, I'm not complaining because we had rain;  it took care of the floo'er tubs.   My morning started with a migraine so I haven't been out frolicking about yet;  but will be after I have morning coffee.

19.30   The light rain cleared away and we ended up with long sunny spells... and a fresh breeze, which made it chillier than I thought it would be.   By this time i was feeling playful and decided to do my Rotten Row walk backwards;  no that makes it look like I'm going to be walking backwards.   I'll be doing the walk anti clockwise, instead of clockwise as I usually do!

On my way round I met Ken, sweeping up leaves, and chatted to him for a while, then went on my merry way to the seat outside 'Fenover';  I got a few golf photies from the seat, then started to make my way home, when I saw Irene working in the garden.   Irene invited me in for coffee, an offer I was happy to accept.  I nearly met Irene and Ken's new kitten when I went in, but it took off like a 'rat up a drainpipe'.   However like all cats it was curious and came out to look at me:  I was accepted as a 'friend' and  ended up playing with it.   Irene came through with the coffee and we enjoyed a long and enjoyable chat.  We covered multiple topics.... including Fudge Doughnuts.
Meanwhile while Irene and I are chatting Ken was working hard in the garden;  as we found out when I was going back to Ivy.  Ken is still able to go down on his knees in the garden ....   and get up again!   I don't go down on my knees;  I doubt if I could get up  again.

22.30    The News  coming from Egypt is 'promising' about bringing the an end to the killing, starving and
terrorising of innocent civilians in Gaza.   Most people living in Israel and Gaza want 'Peace';  and to live a normal life, safe from terrorism and war.   I hope lasting Peace in the Middle East comes out of this eventually.
