Misty ....

18th October 2025 (Saturday)     10.15 .... The sky is overcast with a light Southeasterly breeze

just now,;  but 'sunny intervals' are forecast by midday.    I was disappointed to find the 'sunny intervals'  AWOL at sunrise time.   I went back to bed for another hour.   The sky is beginning to brighten now.    It's  about time I had 'morning coffee'.

16.30    The sun managed to break through around 14.30, and we now have a warm, and  sunny, afternoon.   By the amount of traffic on Ferry Road it would appear to be a 'change over weekend.   I think the Glasgow folk are going home, and the Edinburgh ones arriving.   It's all 'go' on Ferry Road just now.

I  set off for a walk to the beach but had only reached Ferry Corner when the camera battery went flat.   I went back to Ivy and had lunch.   I'd get 'The Buggy' out, but there's a car parked where I set up the ramp to get of the pavement.    I'll put the kettle 'on'.... and think about going out on the bike.    No... I'd better not do that.... the wind is from the SE.

20.15    Instead of going out I've been sorting out the computer station (Iain moved it into the big bedroom;  I have now moved the external hard drives, so that I can browse the 'Alberto Archive'.   After I'd done all that I enjoyed browsing aforementioned Hard Drives.    I've had a restful day!

I notice that the barometer is falling;  the first big fall in a week.   Anyway rain is forecast for tomorrow so I won't be going far., but will look out for the geese (Pink Foot) feeding on the stubble fields.

We have a small section of road works outside St Margaret's  oops .... 'Earlsferry House' Care Home in Williamsburgh.    It feels like there's been roadworks going on around the Ferry Corner area for years.   I can't complain;  there's  always someone to talk to.

I'm absolutely shattered tonight.  It must be the change in the weather:  it's certainly now the works I've been doing.   External hard drives aren't heavy!
